Rumbera Charter is looking for experienced and motivated Sailors (Deckhands) to join our crew for the 2026 summer season, operating daily excursions around the breathtaking La Maddalena Archipelago from Palau, Sardinia.
If you love sailing, working with people, and spending your days at sea in one of the most beautiful areas of the Mediterranean, we’d love to hear from you.

Season & Schedule
Season: May to the end of October 2026
Trips: 7 days a week
(Occasional days off due to bad weather or boat maintenance)
Daily schedule:
08:00 – Morning preparations / operative on board
09:30–10:30 – Departure (sometimes earlier)
~7-hour trip with guests
17:00–17:30 – Return to harbor & boat cleaning
Guests: Maximum 12 guests per boat
(Fewer guests possible during low season)

Sailing boat (sails + engine)
Length: 13 meters
2 sails, uplifting keel
European, commercial sailor's license required (e.g. Italian, Slovenian, German, Polish or any other from the EU)

Duties & Responsibilities
Daily trips with guests around the La Maddalena Archipelago
Friendly hosting and guest care throughout the day
Preparing the boat before departure
Cleaning the boat after returning to the harbor
During the trip:
Preparing a simple lunch (pasta with basic sauce, antipasti)
Cutting and plating food, serving guests

Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation on board possible
Alternatively, crew may arrange their own accommodation
(Campsites for camper vans are available in Palau)
Lunch included
Breakfast and dinner can be prepared on board

Salary & Benefits
Fixed monthly salary (to be discussed individually based on experience and skills)
End-of-month bonus
Work in a small, international team in an exceptional sailing area

Requirements
Relevant sailing / boating experience
Valid sailor's license
Languages:
Good English (required)
Basic Italian
Additional languages (e.g. German) are highly welcome
Friendly, reliable, and guest-oriented personality
Ability to work long days at sea and handle physical tasks (=operating the boat)

Rumbera Charter – Imbarcazione: Polaris
Rumbera Charter è alla ricerca di uno skipper qualificato per la propria imbarcazione Polaris (barca a motore), impiegata in escursioni giornaliere nell’incantevole Arcipelago di La Maddalena, con partenza da Palau (SS).
Se ami il mare, hai esperienza nella conduzione di imbarcazioni e ti piace lavorare a contatto con il pubblico in un contesto turistico di alto livello, saremo lieti di ricevere la tua candidatura.

Periodo e organizzazione del lavoro
• Stagione: da maggio a fine ottobre 2026
• Attività: escursioni giornaliere
• Orario indicativo:
o 08:00 – Preparazione dell’imbarcazione
o 09:30–10:30 – Partenza
o Escursione di circa 7 ore con gli ospiti
o 17:00–17:30 – Rientro in porto e pulizia della barca
• Numero massimo di ospiti: 12 persone
(Possibili giorni di riposo in caso di maltempo o manutenzione)

Mansioni principali
• Conduzione dell’imbarcazione durante le escursioni
• Accoglienza e assistenza degli ospiti a bordo
• Cura della sicurezza dei passeggeri
• Preparazione dell’imbarcazione prima della partenza
• Pulizia e riordino dell’imbarcazione al rientro
• Preparazione del pranzo a bordo (antipasti e pasta)

Requisiti obbligatori
• Patente nautica italiana
• RTF (certificato di radiotelefonista)
• Iscrizione alla Gente di Mare – 3ª categoria
oppure Brevetto di salvamento (bagnino)

Altri requisiti
• Esperienza nella conduzione di imbarcazioni a motore
• Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese
• Italiano fluente
• Eventuali altre lingue straniere costituiscono titolo preferenziale
• Serietà, affidabilità e orientamento al cliente
• Capacità di lavorare molte ore in mare e in contesto turistico
