Who said summer was over? ☀️⛵

Wondering if it’s still worth visiting the La Maddalena Archipelago at this time of year? And whether it’s still warm enough for a boat trip?

Absolutely! In fact, this might be one of the loveliest times to visit.

It’s not as hot as it was in the middle of summer, but the weather is still pleasantly warm. And the water in the bays? After a whole season of sunshine, it’s still wonderfully warm.

But here’s the real treat: the bays are almost empty! Sometimes we’re the only boat around. Other times, we share the bay with two or three boats belonging to our neighbours. The hustle and bustle of peak season is gone.

Imagine crystal-clear water, beautiful quiet bays, hardly any crowds, a small group of friendly people on board and all the time you need to enjoy the sea. Our guests are happy and relaxed, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there’s no fighting for space in the water.

“Isn’t September and October already too cold for swimming, snorkeling and spending a full day out on the La Maddalena Archipelago?”

Of course not!

After a hot summer, the sea is still pleasantly warm and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Mornings in Palau can be a little fresh, but temperatures rise later in the day, and in the sheltered bays it is wonderfully warm, pleasant and sunny.

Even though the calendar is slowly turning towards autumn, the La Maddalena Archipelago is still full of sunshine, warm water, sailing and that unmistakable feeling of summer.

And we’re keeping on sailing. ⛵
We want to keep that summer atmosphere alive for our guests right through to the beginning of November.

There are still plenty of beautiful days ahead on the water – with crystal-clear sea, wind in your hair and views you won’t forget anytime soon.

On our full-day trips, we explore Santa Maria, Razzoli, Spargi and Budelli, pass by the famous Pink Beach and stop at the stunning Natural Pools. There’s time for swimming, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, a delicious Sardinian lunch and, of course, something cold to drink.

With a maximum of 12 guests on board, the atmosphere stays personal, relaxed and wonderfully unhurried.

Today the wind is blowing a little stronger, the waves are bigger, and Rumbera is sailing under full sails. And this is exactly why we love the sea. Because a real adventure doesn’t always mean perfectly flat water.

Rumbera is not a small, lightweight boat built only for calm days. Her construction is based on 20 tons of steel, with a wooden superstructure, a movable centerboard, two large sails and a very experienced crew. This is what allows us to enjoy sailing even when the sea shows a little more character.

We sail every day around the La Maddalena Archipelago – on calm, hot days when everyone can simply relax and soak up the sun on board, as well as on windier days when the sails are working, the wind is in your hair and you can experience the real spirit of sailing.

Of course, always when the conditions are suitable and safe for our boat and our guests.

**Some days should simply be spent at sea.** 🌊⛵

No schedule to worry about. No crowded beach. Just **sun on your skin, wind in your hair, sails above you and that impossible shade of blue all around you.**

This is what a day in the **La Maddalena Archipelago** with us feels like.

We sail through some of the most beautiful corners of the National Park, passing **Santa Maria, Razzoli, Spargi and Budelli**, the famous **Pink Beach** and the crystal-clear Natural Pools.

There’s plenty of time to actually enjoy the sea: long stops for **swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on the beach**, followed by a Sardinian lunch with cold appetizers, our vegetarian **Pasta Buddellesca**, and drinks including w**e, b**r, soft drinks, coffee and Mirto.

And with only **12 guests on board**, it never feels like a crowded excursion boat.

🌊 Summer isn’t over yet – and the Archipelago of La Maddalena is waiting! ⛵️

We’re still sailing and exploring the most beautiful corners of the La Maddalena Archipelago with our guests – and we’ll be operating until early November! 🇮🇹

We still have a few spots available on our sailing boat in the coming weeks. On board you’ll find everything you need for a perfect day at sea: 🥂 an open bar with drinks, 🍝 a full lunch, 🤿 snorkeling equipment and, of course, our dinghy boat, which our captain uses to bring guests directly to the beaches where swimming is permitted.

And if you’re not the most confident swimmer – no problem! Besides snorkeling gear, we also have different floating devices and life jackets for anyone who feels more comfortable with a little extra support in the water. 💙
