Savour Sicily Culinary Tours was created in 2012 by Lisa Ferraro, an Australian of Sicilian background, now residing in Palermo and Rome, with a strong passion for Sicilian food and culture. Savour Sicily Culinary Tours is an experience of the Sicilian way of life – a simple life, with a focus on what is truly important: food, wine, friends, sun and siesta. In just 10 days, Savour Sicily Culinary

Tours will take you across Sicily and personally introduce you to this enchanting island, its culture and most importantly its food. They will let you in on Sicily’s best kept secrets and take you to their favourite food destinations, stays, restaurants, and pastry shops. Visit local markets, wineries and producers and enjoy hands-on cooking classes with Sicilian chefs. Savour Sicily Culinary Tours are lead by Lisa Ferraro, who comes with over 13 years experience in Sicilian travel and research into Sicilian food. With Lisa as your personal guide, you will obtain an in-depth understanding of the island's food and culture through a range of experiences that explore its extremes: from the heights of eating at Sicily’s most acclaimed restaurants and pastry shops, through to street snacking at local markets and stores.

Grazie mille to my gorgeous guest Kim for capturing the essence of the day! ❤️Posted • Early morning bike rides around the ‘white’ city of Siracusa followed by a visit to the ‘black & white’ city of Cantania for another cooking class. We started off at the vibrant fish and fruit markets. The city is situated at the footsteps of Mt Etna and the rich, volcanic soil produces the bright purple cabbage and vegetables that look like they are on steroids. A great cooking class where we made pasta and cannoli and for morning tea we ate ‘titty’ cakes in honour of their patron Saint, St Agnes. Lots of fun and laughter sharing a great day with a bunch of friends. We ❤️ Sicily & our guide Lisa!

Sicily knows how to do layers, from her 3000 year history of occupation, sweet Cassata dessert, to intoxicating scenery. Here in my Island home of Salina, rosemary, vineyards, render, native vegetation, neighbouring islands, sunset and the sea meet in perfect layers as far as the eye can see 🌅❤️️
