🇮🇹 A Santo Stefano Quisquina, in provincia di Agrigento, su un altopiano affacciato sull’entroterra siciliano si erge il 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮: un’opera visionaria realizzata quasi interamente a mano dal pastore-scultore 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗮, a partire dagli anni Settanta.
La cavea è composta da 108 sedili in pietra, come le stelle della costellazione di Andromeda. La scena ellittica, invece, conta 365 tasselli, uno per ogni giorno dell’anno.
Qui il paesaggio non resta sullo sfondo: entra nell’opera e ne diventa parte, tra riferimenti astronomici, simboli e una vista aperta sulla Sicilia interna.
Durante il solstizio d’estate, il sole si allinea con la finestra del fondale, rendendo questo luogo ancora più suggestivo.

🇬🇧 In Santo Stefano Quisquina, in the province of Agrigento, on a plateau overlooking the Sicilian hinterland, stands the 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲: a visionary work created almost entirely by hand by the shepherd-sculptor 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗮, starting in the 1970s.
The auditorium consists of 108 stone seats, like the stars of the constellation Andromeda. The elliptical stage, meanwhile, features 365 tiles, one for every day of the year.
Here, the landscape does not remain in the background: it enters the work and becomes part of it, amidst astronomical references, symbols and an unobstructed view of inland Sicily.
During the summer solstice, the sun aligns with the window in the backdrop, making this place even more evocative.
