This Grillo is all sea spray and sunlit stone - salty, seductive, and precise. Think Mediterranean scrub, fresh citrus zest, and that clean, mineral edge that makes you take a second sip… then a third. It’s the kind of white that doesn’t just taste good - it pulls you in.

Close your eyes and you’re barefoot on a Sicilian shoreline. 🌊 🌴 ☀️

Naturally, it begs for seafood: mixed fried seafood, 🍤 or something more elegant like the yellowtail at - a pairing that feels inevitable.

And yes - delivers again.
Introducing the new label: Grillo Serracalcara 2025.

The fruit comes from a young vineyard in the Serra San Bartolo, perched at 280 meters above sea level. Ancient marine soils of compact marl, a southeast exposure, and constant sea breezes shape the wine with that unmistakable tension: brightness, precision, and coastal energy.

8,000 bottles produced.
Fermented and aged in concrete tanks for nine months, preserving purity and texture without losing its edge.

A Grillo with nerve, elegance, and undeniable Sicilian soul.

If you could drink this Grillo anywhere in Sicily… where would it be? 🥂

We wrapped up our wine journey with and Sandra in Camporeale, where the landscape surprises you the moment you arrive - cooler air, layered hills, and a sense of space you don’t expect after the coast.

Camporeale is one of western Sicily’s best-kept secrets - an inland wine town in the province of Palermo, just 40 min from the chaotic Palermo city, nestled within the Monreale DOC. Here, vineyards stretch across sweeping hills rising beyond 500 meters, surrounded by olive groves and golden wheat fields. 🌾

This is Sicily away from the clichés - quiet, elevated, and deeply agricultural - yet remarkably significant, with five of Sicily’s 23 DOC appellations overlapping in the surrounding area.

It’s also a stronghold of organic producers and a proud territory for Catarratto and Perricone - grapes that speak fluently of Sicily’s soul, and of a land of tradition, rhythm, and identity.

A wine-focused 10-day Sicilian escape, we curated with for Rachel and Sandra, brought us to the sunlit western edge of the island - Marsala, where sea breeze, salt, and history shape the wine scene.

We stepped into the atmospheric cellars of , one of the true guardians of Marsala’s identity. While others followed commercial trends, De Bartoli stayed loyal to indigenous grapes and authentic traditions - an inspiring legacy still carried forward by his family today.

Our tasting journey moved through Grillo, Zibibbo from Pantelleria, and the iconic depth of Vecchio Samperi, alongside Marsala Superiore Oro Riserva and the poetic Passito “Bukkuram.”

Between winery visits, we wandered the shimmering salt pans, where salt is still harvested as it has been for centuries. 🦩🧂 Just nearby, we visited natural winemaker , where a homemade Sicilian lunch and his raw, expressive wines from Grillo, Catarratto, Zibibbo and Nero d’Avola were served with sweeping sea & vineyard views. 😍

Marsala remains one of Sicily’s most underrated wine regions - quietly powerful, deeply authentic, and impossible to forget. 💛

Have you explored Marsala yet?
