We started in the south, in the Val di Noto heartland around Pachino - white limestone soils, olive groves, almond trees, and a heat that hits differently. This is the hottest corner of Sicily, yet the wines - Nero d’Avola, Frappato, Grillo, Moscato - are alive with freshness and personality. The terroir never stops surprising you.
Then north to la muntagna. 🌋 A boutique winery on Etna’s northern slope, volcanic soils that carry centuries of memory, and a km0 lunch that did exactly what a good Sicilian lunch should - slowed everything down and made us stay longer than planned. The wines here have a complexity and a depth that gets under your skin. You leave with a connection to this place that’s hard to explain and impossible to forget.
That’s what these tours are built for. Not just tasting wine - understanding where you are, who made it, and why it matters.
