What a phone call this week!

A client of mine is about to spend a FULL month traveling through Italy on her own and we’ve been building this trip around her, not how many places and sites we can squeeze in an itinerary.

We talked through everything: where she will be met, who to call, what apps to download, where she can comfortably have dinner on her own, which days she could and should intentionally leave open and of course a little leather shop in Pienza where she will find the perfect journal to document her adventures.

She had the nervous giggles, the giddy excitement and a newfound confidence. And we have an itinerary she’s so proud of, we have support where she needs it and I can’t wait to hear about all the new discoveries she will make on the ground and even within herself.

This is what it’s all about. 💛

It’s Monday, it’s back to school and this weekend I woke up to a new age! 👋 Fellow Leos!

August always feels a little like a new year to me - motivation for what’s ahead and appreciation for the present.

Here’s what I’m excited about right now, both in travel and outside of it:

- I have a first-year preschooler and a kindergartener, and I couldn’t be more proud of my boys for being so brave!
- This has been the summer of planning so many inspiring female solo and friend trips: a cruise through Oceania, a month-long solo stint in Italy, exploring New Zealand for a second time, adventures through Paris and southern France, and a bucket-list trip through Japan are just a few! Let’s go girls!
- Dreaming about which fall vegetables and flowers we’ll decide to plant in a few weeks.
- I’ll be celebrating 10 years of marriage with my husband this fall, and we’re taking a little trip to a domestic gem that I cannot wait to share.
- I’ve discovered that honey + a dash of salt in my espresso, topped with a little milk and cinnamon, is the best way to wake up.
- I’m reading more, thanks to a sweet little neighborhood book club.
- And I’m continuing to learn and grow in a business I really love, thanks to all of the curious travelers who trust me with their adventures.

Oh the wonder and anticipation! This is my why.

Traveling with littles looks different, but start ‘em early and you’ll be grateful you did. Take it my from my little man, Heath. He landed at Heathrow 8 hours later ready to see his mama’s favorite city.

To all the mothers and mother figures, and to those carrying complicated feelings today, I’m thinking of you.

To the new moms learning as they go on very little sleep.

To the mothers deep in the beautiful chaos of raising children.

To the women longing to become mothers.

To those carrying the ache of loss, grief or distance.

To anyone missing their own mother today.

As someone who gets to help families, couples, mothers, daughters and generations create memories together through travel, I’m constantly reminded that the most meaningful moments are rarely the extravagant ones. They’re a shared meal, a sunset, a detour in the plans, a trip that becomes part of a family story. Thank you for trusting me to help with these memories.
