We recently finished the most beautiful evening at Da Gabrisa in Positano, with the wonderful Chef Emilio. 🇮🇹

An incredible view over Positano, a beautiful atmosphere and, most importantly, absolutely delicious food.

Chef Emilio brings a local touch to every dish, taking the flavours and ingredients we know and love from the Amalfi Coast and elevating them into something really special. Thoughtful, beautifully presented and full of flavour.

Hi, we’re the two Mariangela’s behind Amalfi Coast Escapes 👋🇮🇹

We’ve had so many new people join us lately, so we thought it was the perfect time to say ciao, introduce ourselves properly and share a little more about what we do.

We are Amalfi Coast Travel Advisors, and the Amalfi Coast is all we do.

We help you plan your vacation from beginning to end, finding the right accommodation, curating your itinerary, organising private transfers and authentic experiences, making restaurant reservations and sharing all those little local tips that can make such a difference to your vacation.

But for us, it’s about much more than simply making bookings.

We know the Amalfi Coast intimately, the people, the villages, the restaurants, the properties, the logistics and all those beautiful places you might never discover on your own. We’ve also developed experiences that take you beyond the usual tourist trail and allow you to experience a more authentic side of the Amalfi Coast.

Aperitivo isn’t just a drink , it’s a way of life in Italy. 🇮🇹

We enjoy aperitivo before lunch or dinner, sometimes at a bar, sometimes at a restaurant. On the Amalfi Coast, it might start with an Aperol Spritz before moving on to a glass of wine.

Traditionally, it’s served with something simple to nibble onhips, nuts, olives — although every bar and restaurant has its own offering.

For us, aperitivo is really about slowing down. It sets the tone for the meal ahead and gives you time to sit, catch up with friends and enjoy the moment before you even start thinking about what you’re going to eat.

One of those little Italian rituals we think everyone should experience when visiting the Amalfi Coast.

No cars in Nocelle… so how do we move everything?

For everyone asking how we move produce around our beautiful pedestrian village of Nocelle… this is how. 🇮🇹

There are no cars through the village, so depending on what needs to be moved, we use our little petrol-powered carriers, donkeys… or simply carry it on our shoulders.

It’s just part of everyday life here in Nocelle on the Amalfi Coast, high above Positano.

A slower, simpler way of life, and one we love. ❤️

Ciao, we have lots of new faces here lately, so we thought it was probably time we introduced ourselves, once again.

We’re the two Mariangelas behind Amalfi Coast Escapes.

Two women with very different stories, but a shared love of Italy, family, food, travel and, of course, the Amalfi Coast.

One of us was born and raised in Positano. The other is Australian-Italian and fell in love with this part of Italy years ago.

We met in 2017, and somewhere along the way, friendship turned into a business built around something we both genuinely love, helping people experience the Amalfi Coast in a more personal and local way.

Our days can involve checking hotels, meeting suppliers, trying restaurants, jumping on boats, helping guests while they’re here, or spending the day with family making passata.

And that’s really what we want to share with you here.

Not just the beautiful views, but the people, traditions, food, places and everyday life that make the Amalfi Coast so special to us.

August on the Amalfi Coast means one thing… tomato season 🍅🇮🇹

Making homemade passata is a tradition that has been passed down through Italian families for generations.

As Italians, we eat with the seasons. Summer is when tomatoes are at their absolute best, ripe, sweet and full of flavour. But there’s no way we’re going all winter without our beloved tomatoes!

So every August, the whole family gets involved, the kids, Nonna and Nonno, everyone has a job to do. We harvest, prepare, cook and bottle enough passata to use throughout the year.

It’s a way of life, but it’s also how we pass our traditions down to our children, by involving them, teaching them and making these memories together.

It’s more than preserving tomatoes. It’s preserving our culture, our family traditions and a little taste of summer to enjoy all year long.

This is life on the Amalfi Coast beyond the beaches and beautiful views. ❤️🍅
