Poem by Daniele during his latest Mandali Experience.
Reborn
with the sun every day
from a lake of hope
dive
into our mind
feel the pressure
letting go of every thought
smile
with the soul
and with the body
dance
with the world
in the space of creation
love
nourish with love
savouring every single drop
of these tears of life

Happy International Yoga Day & the Summer Solstice
May the practice of yoga continue to cultivate compassion, inner stillness, and lasting benefit for all beings.
May its timeless teachings be shared with love, clarity, and true intention. 🌺

As we move towards the summer solstice and the light reaches its peak, we’re invited to soften. To allow what’s been stirring to settle. To digest, release, and begin again — not with force, but with quiet clarity

This 7-day Mandali Experience invites you into a gentle exploration of the five elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether.
Each day, a dedicated workshop will offer optional practices and rituals to awaken, embody, and harmonize the qualities of one element. You’re welcome to join as you feel called — nothing is mandatory, and space is always held with softness and care.
Through movement, breath, meditation, and reflection, we reconnect with the wisdom of nature and the subtle rhythms within.
An invitation to return to balance, deepen awareness, and be held by the elements that quietly sustain us.

Morning practice with 🌞
Qi gong reminds us that energy doesn’t need to be forced — it simply needs to be felt.
When we slow down, when we stay present in our bodies, we begin to notice what was always there: a quiet current of life, speaking in its own subtle way.
This practice is an invitation to soften, to nurture ourselves, and to move with compassion.
Not to go anywhere — but to arrive more fully within.

At Mandali, even the smallest corners are invitations to reconnect.
Our greenhouse is one of those quiet sanctuaries — a living, breathing space where stillness resides.
Peace, serenity, and gentle inspiration fill the air. It was created to hold space for growth, nurturing each plant in its own time — just as we hold space for inner transformation: without rush, without force, simply with presence.
Breathe in. Slow down. Let yourself be inspired by the quiet wisdom of nature.
Have you ever stepped inside?

We asked our beloved long-term teachers, Julia & Fabiola, to describe Mandali in just three words. Here’s what they shared:
JULIA – Home, because that’s how I feel here.
Love, because that’s what I feel here.
People, because they create the above feelings for me.
FABIOLA – Magic, Love, and Family.
What three words come to mind for you when you think of Mandali?
Drop your answers below—we’d love to hear 🌺

There’s something about summer that calls us home to ourselves.
Longer days, golden light, and space to soften into presence.
Join us for the first Mandali Experience of the season:

We believe there are many pathways to presence. Quiet contemplation, spending time in nature, and silent sitting are simply a few ways to reconnect us to the here and now. There are also colourful ways to land into presence, and in this issue we approach it through the lens of playfulness.
Playfulness is an underrated portal that encourages spontaneity, childlike wonder and openness. Often this way of meeting the world gets lost in the seriousness and tediousness of daily routine.

Flow is our natural state. Like plants, animals, and every living organism, we go through cycles of transformation throughout our lives.
Magic happens every time we allow it to happen, instead of resisting. We connect with our true nature, the connection with all.

Just an hour’s drive from Milan lies Mandali. A beautiful new retreat center that overlooks the spectacular Lago d’Orta in Northern Italy. Built on a hilltop. And built for everybody.
Believe it or not, the story of Mandali starts with two entrepreneurial friends, Wouter Tavecchio and Wildrik Timmerman, who had high-flying careers as organizers of international dance festivals. The success of their businesses filled their fast-paced lives with ever-increasing abundance. But with this came the nagging feeling that there was something ‘missing’.
Wouter and Wildrik started to attend silent meditation retreats and slowly, but surely began to spread a different and more ‘spiritual’ message at their dance events which eventually led to them realizing their ultimate dream: to create a center where people can experience inner peace, well-being and transformation in a safe and supportive environment.
After a long search for the right location and the right architect, and subsequent years of planning and building, Mandali finally opened its doors in March 2017. The centre welcomes teachers, groups and students of all traditions and from all over the world—beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
The Center is managed by the Mandali Foundation, a non-profit organisation set up by Wouter and Wildrik.
