Il Laboratorio Landscape in_Progress è una struttura di ricerca e di progettazione dentro il Dipartimento dArTe che indaga sui “paesaggi in divenire”, cioè su quei paesaggi in costruzione, spesso in funzione di grandi opere o di grandi eventi che ne cambiano e, talvolta, stravolgono le connotazioni esistenti. Il Laboratorio è concepito come uno spazio multidisciplinare d’interconnessione tra l’arc
hitettura, la città e il paesaggio, dove diverse figure – architetti, paesaggisti, agronomi, fotografi, artisti – sono coinvolte in un’azione di conoscenza, interpretazione e trasformazione dei luoghi. L’idea è quella di ritornare alla realtà concreta dei territori interessati, ripercorrendoli, attraverso un punto di vista più mobile, quindi in un’azione di simultaneo avvicinamento e allontanamento, capace di cogliere ed elencare valori e immagini delle realtà complesse ed eterogene. Tra le principali ricerche svolte:
Il Turismo come arte dei luoghi; La città Metropolitana di Reggio Calabria; L’Area portuale di Gioia Tauro e il sistema delle infrastrutture; Il progetto delle periferie e dell’edilizia esistente; I paesaggi d’acqua. Il Laboratorio collabora con Enti Pubblici e Associazioni no profit, svolgendo attività di Consulenza e Ricerca scientifica, garantendo un approccio integrato e innovativo per lo studio della città e del paesaggio. The Landscape in_Progress Laboratory is a research and design structure within the dArTe Department that investigates the “Landscapes next to come”, that is on those landscapes under construction, often in function of great works or special events that change and distort the existing connotations. The Laboratory is intended as a multidisciplinary space interconnected between the architecture, the city and the landscape, where different figures – architects, landscape architects, agronomists, photographers, artists – are involved in interpretation and transformation of places action. The idea is to return to the reality of the concerned territories, retracing them through a more mobile point of view, in a simultaneous action of approaching and leaving able to capture and list values and images of the reality in its complexity and heterogeneity. The Landscape in_Progress Laboratory works with Public Authorities and Nonprofit, conducting Consulting and Research activities, ensuring an integrated and innovative approach for the study of the city and landscape.
