Anzio is a small town South of Rome, which can easily be reached by train. It looks like time stopped here in the 1960’s. The water is very clean and there are lots of great fish and sea food restaurants.

Buon Ferragosto! Today Italians celebrate Ferragosto, a festivity that remains since Emperor Augustus. After the harvesting period he implemented that everybody should have a few days of rest. Later on it also became a festivity for celebratiing the assumption of Mary to Heaven.
Traditionelly in Rome most families eat chicken with bellpeppers today.
