Grateful.

The benefits of waking up early.
When they hire me for an early Vatican tour working in the Museums with no crowds is a pleasure.

Spring in Rome.
Switching from cold to very warm weather with days when temperatures drop suddenly.
Near Rome mountains are still snowcapped but wisteria, poppies and wild flowers are taking over.

A glorious day.
From the very top of the Colosseum you feel like an emperor!😀

Bad habits of the visitors who cannot refrain from tossing coins everywhere and by doing so they could harm other people and also damage marble and other artifacts because coins oxidate and corrode and often leave a green patina.

If you visit the Sistine Chapel now and until Easter you will see the restorers at work. They are cleaning Michelangelo's Last Judgement using japanese paper to remove the white layer due to perspiration. With heat and the many thousands of daily visitors the colours started to change slightly.

Have you ever seen so many guides all together? Can you spot me in the group?

An afternoon at the Vatican Museums with Guides4guides.
It is always a pleasure to learn new things from colleagues and the slow season is for us the time of the year to enhance our knowledge in various subjects.

A morning spent with colleagues on the Janiculum hill on the footsteps of Garibaldi and the struggles for the Roman Republic in 1849.
The Janiculum offers great panoramic views over the city and the daily cannon shooting at noon.
