Villa il Cardinale Historic Roman villa, sleeps 14+. Beautiful gardens and original 1st Century AD features. Perfect for events, weddings, yoga retreats, and holidays.

Historic Roman villa, with archeological remains dating back to the 1st Century AD (archived at the National Roman Museum, Palazzo Altemps). We have ten bedrooms, seven bathrooms, six fireplaces, and a large and beautiful garden as well as a vegetable garden. Villa il Cardinale is ideal for events, weddings, yoga retreats, and holiday rentals for large groups. We can organize everything for you (c

atering, cooking classes, yoga, meditation, visits and trips, and more) or you can keep it simple and do everything yourself. THE VILLA CAN ACCOMMODATE FROM 2 to 14 PEOPLE - DIFFERENT WINGS OF THE VILLA CAN BE RENTED ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF GUESTS AT DIFFERENT PRICES - We can accommodate up to 20 guests at an extra cost. We are also available to rent as a location for films, adverts and photo shoots.

To anyone who is new to the page!
This is Marina, the owner & hostess of the retreats at Villa Il Cardinale.
Marina grew up in this beautiful villa, and her family were the first to uncover the Ancient Roman ruins on this site.
As an experienced yoga instructor, her retreats are accessible for all and can be adapted for varying levels of experience within yoga.
Away from her work at the villa, Marina is an academic, a Professor of Curation, specialising in exhibitions at the intersection between art & science, art & medicine. She has taught at some of the most prestigious arts universities, and curated a number of groundbreaking exhibitions. She is also an author of various publications...the list goes on!
As such, her knowledge in the history of art serves as an added plus for those enthusiasts joining the retreats at the villa. She is always happy to delve into Roman history & give advice on the best sites, art galleries and museums to visit in the centre Rome. Overqualified, she is a multifaceted hostess and a font of knowledge!
