It is the Country that has allowed the world, which was ancient, to become modern; where the Renaissance happened, that is the critical rethinking of the Ancient World. In which other country in the world can you pass within a few miles from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance as if nothing had happened?

Pienza...

The tour departs at 8am from the client’s accommodation. Upon arrival,
after a short journey of about 2h 45m, we stop for a 15 minute break for
refreshments. We spend the morning in Siena, where our guests are free
to visit the city on their own. We then head to one of Siena’s typical
restaurants for lunch, or to one of the many agritourism restaurants in
the beautiful sienese countryside.
The visit and lunch normally take about 4 hours. After lunch, you can
decide whether to visit Pienza, “The ideal city of the Renaissance”,
created by Pope Pius II, or Montalcino, “The home of Brunello” with
its splendid village. In both cases, you visit a local winery for a wine
tasting. Then we return you to your accommodation in Rome.
