🍋 When life gives you lemons… make Limoncello! ☀️

This summer, bring a taste of Italy into your home with our recepie of the classic homemade Limoncello — just like nonna used to make!

All you need is:

📝 Ingredients:
Peels from 5 organic, untreated lemons
2 cups (500 ml) of high-proof alcohol (190 proof grain alcohol, or high-proof vodka)
2 cups (400 g) of sugar
4 ¼ cups (1 liter) of water

🍋 Instructions:
Peel the lemons carefully, using only the yellow zest — avoid the white pith.
Place the peels in a glass container with the alcohol. Seal it tightly and let it sit in a dark, cool place for 10 days to infuse.
After 10 days, bring the water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, add the sugar and stir with a wooden spoon until fully dissolved.
Let the sugar syrup cool completely.
Strain out the lemon peels from the alcohol, then mix the infused alcohol into the cooled sugar syrup.
Stir gently with a wooden spoon, then pour your Limoncello into clean glass bottles.
Store in the freezer and serve ice cold. After a few days of rest… it’s ready to enjoy! 🥂
