Mama Italy - About us
Mama Italy is specialized in culinary adventures for groups of family members or friends; we are local residents professional profiles, been in hospitality business for years and now we are happy to give very personal and caring customer service and introduce you to people and places you’d never find on your own.
MaMa Italy is born with the aim of giving a “real user experience”, a full immersion into the Italian life style, bringing you into the “nature” and dealing with people and jobs that are part of it.
Lazio and Molise, a small unknown and uncontaminated region, will be the spots of our adventures, according with the seasons and the traditions of those territory. Be part of a wine harvest or olive collection and learn more on making your first batch of wine from fresh grapes or the extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), definitely the treasure of our
country.
Follow a truffles Hunter and his dog in the woods then ,with the fruit of your labour you will take part of our funny hands-on cooking lesson learning traditional fabulous recipes. Cellars, old stone mills, organic farm house and cheese makers are also part of our interactive portfolio.
Together we will visit medieval towns, abbeys and castles, Roman ruins and other places unchanged for centuries, away from the tourist paths.
The culinary moments will be remarkable: cakes, jams and the whole gourmet breakfast are totally homemade, The products used for our cooking classes are all carefully selected and come from certified farms and culture according to the season and the shortest supply chain.
All the recipes belong to tradition and comes from ‘the Grandma book’; the wines as well, are chosen according to the producer quality and responsibility.
Our tours are enjoyable for beginners and experts alike, don’t worry if you know nothing about food and wine or country and farm jobs, we will give you the opportunity to learn and have an extraordinary experience with the people you love.
