I’ve always loved to write.

At one point I planned to major in creative writing. I started a weekly newsletter in January to help people get to know me better, to share travel ideas and to grow my client base.

One unexpected dividend is its re-awakened my love of writing. Most Sunday evenings will find me spending a few hours writing that weeks newsletter.

I usually focus on destinations in Europe and Mexico. Today I decided to do something a little different.

I’ve been researching and booking trips to Central and South America so I decided to do a 3-4 part series called South of the Usual. This week I’m all in on Panama.

If you’re interested in following along, the link is in the comments.

Food & Wine just named Borough Market in London the #1 food market in the world…

And honestly? No notes.

It’s on Steve’s and my list. and if it’s anything like our experience at La Boqueria in Barcelona, we are going to be very, very happy.

There is something about wandering a great food market that just gets us. The colors, the smells, the “I don’t know what that is but I’m absolutely trying it” energy… it’s one of our favorite ways to experience a city.

Borough Market has been around for over 1,000 years, tucked under Victorian railway arches in the heart of London; over 100 stalls of artisan cheeses, fresh bread, street food from around the world, and specialty ingredients you won’t find anywhere else.

It’s basically a love letter to food culture.

Do you have a favorite food market you’ve wandered? I want to know. Drop it below. 👇

And if a London trip is on your list and you want the inside scoop on how to do it right… come hang out in my private group, Curated Travel by Cydney | Europe & Mexico Vacations

✈️ Seattle just got a whole lot more European, and the airlines are fighting for your loyalty.

Something exciting is happening close by at SeaTac, and as your travel advisor, I am here for it.

For the first time ever, Alaska Airlines, the Pacific Northwest’s hometown carrier, is flying nonstop to Europe.

They launched Seattle → Rome on April 28th (daily, on a shiny Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner), followed by Seattle → London Heathrow on May 21st, and Seattle → Reykjavik starting May 28th.

Three European destinations. Historic for Alaska. And a very big deal for PNW travelers who’ve been routing through LAX,DFW, or European hubs.

But Delta? Delta didn’t blink. They fired back with not one but two new nonstop routes of their own: Seattle → Rome (4x weekly) and the first-ever Seattle → Barcelona (3x weekly), both launched this month on the Airbus A330-900neo with lie-flat Delta One suites.

And it’s not just about the skies — it’s about the ground game too.

Delta just opened a 24,000-square-foot dual-lounge at SEA featuring a Delta One Lounge (business-class exclusive) alongside a redesigned Sky Club. Meanwhile, Alaska is planning what will be the largest airline lounge in the entire country,a two-story, 40,000-square-foot space on the C Concourse with separate sections for domestic and international travelers.

These two are absolutely vying for your wallet, your loyalty points, and honestly… your heart.

Here’s what this means for YOU: More nonstop options from Seattle to Europe = fewer connections, less travel time, and more competition = better pricing.

Whether you’re dreaming of the Colosseum, Sagrada Família, or the Northern Lights over Iceland, you can now fly there direct from home-ish.

Want to know which airline and route is the right fit for your next trip? That’s exactly what I’m here for.

👇 Drop your dream European destination in the comments along with your home airport or send me a message and let’s figure out the best way to get you there.

✨ Anyone can book a flight. Not everyone can design a trip that changes you.

If you signed up but haven't heard from me, there's a good chance my emails are landing in your spam folder. Give it a quick search for [email protected] — and if you find me in there, move me to your inbox and add me to your contacts.

Newsletters go out every Thursday with destination inspiration, honest travel advice, and the occasional cocktail recipe. Too good for spam. 😄

Hot take: hiring a travel advisor isn't a luxury. It's a decision.

Anyone can book a trip. Google exists. I know.

But here's what I actually do...

I know which hotel room category is worth the upgrade and which is marketing fluff. I know which transfer company won't leave you stranded at midnight. I know where to eat in a city that doesn't show up on any "top 10" list…and if I don’t know I’ll do the research so you don’t have to.

My clients are Gen Xers, empty nesters, retirees, and busy professionals. People who've worked hard and want their time and money to mean something.

That's who I built Nomad Travel for. People like me.

📩 DM me and let's talk about where you want to go. 🌍

Not sure where to even start planning your next trip?

That's literally what my free guide is for. 😄

It's called "How to Go From 'Where Do I Even Start?' to 'When Do We Leave?'"

It walks you through exactly what to think about at the very beginning of trip planning, before the research spiral, before the overwhelm, before you have 37 browser tabs open and still feel lost.

It's free. It's genuinely useful. And it's a great first step whether you're working with me or figuring it out on your own.

Because planning a trip should feel exciting... not like homework.

Planning a big trip to Europe should feel exciting. And it does, for about five minutes.

Then you're staring at too many open tabs. The comparison paralysis sets in. And suddenly your dream trip is just... sitting there. On the to-do list. Again.

Sound familiar? 🙋‍♀️

I put together a free guide specifically for this moment, the "I want to go but WHERE DO I EVEN START" moment. It covers the mistakes that quietly unravel vacations, and the moves that make a trip genuinely unforgettable.

It's free, it's fast, and it's the first step toward actually going.

Drop a 🌍 in the comments if you've got a Europe trip on your radar, I love knowing who's dreaming!
