Today, during the final tour of 2025, I experienced one of the most indescribable and extraordinary moments of my career... Personally unlocking the doors to the Sistine Chapel and being the first to step into that breathtaking atmosphere.
​In the heart of the Vatican Museums (a place visited by an average of 25,000 people daily) this sacred sanctuary, bearing the legacy of history’s greatest artists, was opened exclusively for our group, completely cleared of the usual crowds.
​For the past three days, I have had the privilege of guiding an exclusive group with a highly niche itinerary. Our group included distinguished guests, university faculty members, art historians, and renowned authors who have written books on the very subjects I am lecturing on 📚
​To receive continuous praise from such an expert and knowledgeable team throughout the tour, and to have my insights resonate so deeply on an academic level, is a source of immense professional pride and happiness for me. I feel incredibly fortunate to close the year at such a prestigious peak with such a unique moment.
​A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this special journey possible!

Today Rome spoke in whispers.
I had the honor of guiding Daniel, a very special young traveler who doesn’t see the Eternal City with his eyes, but listens to it with his heart. He followed every step of our dense full-day tour with courage and curiosity, guided by the love of his family. His father, Victor, and his mother walked beside him with quiet strength, making this journey a shared embrace of history, sound, and feeling.

Daniel, I'll be so happy if today was one of the happy days in your life. I hope that the warmth of the Roman sun, the echoes of voices inside the Colosseum, the sound of fountains, and the tolling of bells will remain with you as memories you can hold in your heart forever. I wish you wonderfully curious years ahead-years filled with new discoveries, new questions, and new adventures. Keep listening, keep exploring, keep dreaming: the world loves to answer.

And to my entire group of 17 guests from the States and the UK, thank you. You embraced this day with patience, kindness, and open hearts, creating a space where everyone could share in the beauty of Rome. Guiding you all was a true privilege, and I carry gratitude for each story, each smile, and each step we shared together.

Rome is eternal because it belongs to everyone, seen or unseen, spoken or unheard, and today it reminded me that its greatest gift is not only its monuments, but the way it connects souls across oceans and generations.

Today’s VIP guest: this little gladiator! 🍼 The mom in my group was rocking a backpack bigger than the Colosseum itself AND carrying this little gladiator, but the stairs said ‘nope!’ So I stepped in, baby in one arm, tour guide duties in the other. 💪 Who knew guiding tours involved childcare too? Just another day keeping history alive... and babies happy! 🍼😎 Who says tour guides don’t multitask?

Three days ago, I had the absolute joy of witnessing a magical moment on our tour. One of our amazing guests, surrounded by the stunning backdrop of Rome, right in front of the iconic Trevi Fountain, proposed to his girlfriend, and SHE SAID YES! 💍

Rome, with its timeless beauty, has always been a city of romance, and moments like these make it even more special. Congratulations to the beautiful couple! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness. ❤️

Gathered here are not just guests from Scotland, but a band of merry souls proving that humor and high spirits know no borders. From kilts to impromptu accessories that scream 'party ready,' these lads brought the essence of the highlands right to our local restaurant. Their laughter, camaraderie, and willingness to embrace every moment with open arms (and open shirts) made for an unforgettable day in the life of a tour guide.

After the covid, I didn't post anything about our Maybe because of bad luck, I just don't know. During the covid, I was missing these kind of days which we laugh a lot with our guests.

We are all looking forward to starting over. The ones in the video are some of our friends who introduced this unique city to millions of tourists from all over the world before the pandemic. It is a great pleasure to be one of you. The video is dedicated to our dear friend, our colleague Antonio Scona, who past away because of the Covid19.
