The Pantheon was originally built around 27 BCE and for many years it was the largest dome of its kind.
For sure there are a lot of legendary moments in Pantheon’s history however it looks like the most important events are happening right now.
A coalition of church and culture officials signed the new policy in March 2023 which requires visitors to pay an entrance fee. Gennaro Sangiuliano, Italy’s new culture minister, praised the move: in just three months we have come to define a goal based on common sense: to charge a modest ticket for the most visited cultural site in Italy. The new policy comes with a few exceptions for teachers and students, local residents and tourists under 25.
As for now, the landmark is still free to all and we suggest you to come enjoy Pantheon with us before new rules come to affect and create extensive lines and waiting times.
