🧠 Who was Saint Andrew? (A quick guide👇)

1. 🎣 Once a humble fisherman, Saint Andrew was the first apostle called by Jesus.

2. 👬 He was Saint Peter’s brother and preached across Greece and Eastern Europe.

3. ❌ He was crucified on an X-shaped cross—now called St. Andrew’s Cross.

4. 🏛️ In 1208, his relics were brought to Amalfi and placed in the cathedral’s crypt.

5. ✨ Legend says his bones exude a holy liquid called “manna,” collected by priests to this day.

6. 🌊 Locals believe Saint Andrew protects Amalfi from storms, invasions, and misfortune.
