Compact Salt Dredging with Italdraghe BD3

Our BD3 submersible dredge pump is shown at work in India, operating in tough industrial conditions on a very hard and compact salt layer.

The excavator moving directly on the salt surface clearly demonstrates how resistant the material is and how demanding the dredging operation becomes when the layer to be removed is so solid and difficult to break down.

This is where the strength, reliability and robust design of Italdraghe dredging equipment make the difference, ensuring effective performance even in challenging applications and harsh working environments.

When standard solutions are not enough, flexibility makes the difference.

This Italdraghe BD3 dredging pump was used by our client to replace an old redinger system that was no longer able to guarantee the required performance, especially when working with clay material.

Unlike the usual horizontal operating configuration, in this specific project the bucket was used vertically, offering a more effective solution for the site’s dredging needs.

Thanks to its compact design and high versatility, the Italdraghe BD3 proved to be ideal for this type of small-scale dredging project, where precision, adaptability and efficiency were essential.

The bucket was able to efficiently pump even very thin layers of material, ensuring reliable performance in challenging operating conditions.
