A great week with "il Mangione", "il Vecchio" and "il Tamarro" guided by the mountan guide "il Furbetto", skiing mainly cold snow with some small sections of corn.

In the Swedish Lapland, or the land of the midnight Sun, also known as Europe’s last wilderness, is the home for one of the training courses for becoming a a IFMGA/SBO mountain guide (www.sbo.nu). It is a great place to learn what is expected of you as a mountain guide when it comes to ski mountaineering.

The participants are expected to be able to plan a week with suitable skitours, where and when we will stay in a snow bivoac, bring the correct ratio of food and understand the complex situation one can encounter in the Swedish mountains in a safe and efficient manner.

Week 13 2016

The collaboration between us and MGT continues and we had a great week despite the weather shutting us down the last day. We managed to find some nice skiing, visited all the huts, wild ski-touring terrain, the mountain guide forgot his pack, the summit was touched and we official have all the verticals (that is still a secret).

Stellar cold smoke as a Grand Finale with the two boys and unfortunately they had to go back home to watch the possible Grand Slam, holding my fingers crossed. I hope to see you next year in a different place!

Never doubt the locals and going for the cold "Folletti" smoke in the steep forest was exciting, the mountain guide almost forgot that he had clients while going down.

Magical cold "Folletti" smoke today, so we did both the front- and backside, all alone in a small valley. Now it is time to rest and we await the next cold storm arriving.
