Viale dei Cipressi in Bolgheri. Four kilometres. 2,400 cypress trees planted in 1801. One road that makes every other road feel like a compromise.

I've ridden it a dozen times, full open throttle. It never gets old. There's a moment halfway down where the trees close in and the end of the road disappears — it feels like the whole thing was built for a motorcycle.

One of the epic roads on our 1-9 Sep Tuscany tour. Link in bio.

👇 If there is a road you keep returning to no matter what let us know in the comments.

Rome. First morning. Before the heat, leaving in style.

This is how every ARI tour starts — out of the city as the light is still low, the iconic Italian pine trees behind us, escaping the traffic for the empty roads.

There's something about leaving Rome on a motorcycle, heading towards freedom. The whole thing feels just right.

👇 City start or straight into the countryside — how do you prefer to begin a ride?

Sardinia. A hairpin somewhere above the clouds. Storm coming in from the left, the group threading through from the right.

I pulled over at the apex, got the shot, watched them pass — then put the camera away and chased them down.

That's me on my vintage Yamaha SR. The clients ride Ducatis, Guzzis and BMWs. I just prefer the sound of the old engine on a road like this.

👇 Natural sound or music — what do you prefer on riding footage?

Sometimes it is just like riding in La Dolce Vita.

We were riding the Chianti wine route — good pace, properly focused — when two vintage Fiat 500s came trotting on the other side of the road. Red and grey. Roof open. Doing about 40. Naturally I turned around and snapped this shot of Kev and Mary right behind me.

That's Tuscany for you. The vineyards in full blossom, the road rolling like it was drawn by hand, and occasionally Italy puts something in front of you that makes the whole plan irrelevant.

This exact stretch is on the 18–22 June tour. Link in bio.

👇 Fiat 500 or the bike — what's the better way to do this road?

Tiny village, unreal views, Amalfi Coast 💙

This is how we shoot it.

Helmet cam. Body strap. Dan on the Desert X doing exactly what need doing.

This is what goes into thirty seconds of footage on an ARI tour. Overhead, backwards, hanging off the side — and the road is always moving.

Most of it ends up on the cutting room floor. The stuff that makes it through is usually the shot I wasn't sure would work.

👇 What did you think went into shooting this kind of content?

Sardinia 2026 is fully booked.

Didn’t see that coming this early — but here we are. Apparently word gets around fast among motorcycle tourers.

The waiting list is open if you want in for 2027.
And if you missed it this year, we’re still running guided plus self guided motorcycle tours through Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, and Gran Sasso with spots available.

Same roads philosophy, same bikes, same obsessive attention to the route. Some riders actually tell us the Rome to Amalfi Coast ride is the one that stays with them longest.

Don’t wait until those fill up too.

😋 Six dishes. Six regions. Six reasons Italy is unlike anywhere else on a plate.

Growing up in Naples, you learn two things early: how to navigate chaos, and how to eat well. Both have served me on the road ever since.

Thirty years later I’m still riding these roads, still walking into trattorias at lunchtime with a helmet under my arm, still discovering things on a plate that silence the whole table.

We just published our full guide to eating well across every region we ride.
The dishes, the restaurants, the honest advice.

But first — swipe through six of our favourite dishes from the road, then tell us:
