Who would have thought that the writer of 'The Three Musketeers' would also have written about a trip he made to Calabria in 1895? Well, we found and read it and then produced the first book trailer. Known primarily as a novelist, Dumas was also a great traveler. His descriptions are pleasant, interesting, topical and reveal a spirit of careful observer of men and things. In Italy, Dumas stayed several times and at length, particularly in Naples. The journey to Calabria was undertaken in the autumn of 1835 immediately after visiting Sicily. The writer was surprised by a sudden storm, which prevented him from continuing his navigation northwards, and he was forced to travel overland, from Villa San Giovanni to Cosenza, Calabria. Amidst earthquakes and torrential rain, amidst tasty tales and singular characters, Dumas' voyage turns into an adventurous account drawn up with shrewdness and irony, which will not fail to thrill and delight the reader.

Finally online the book trailer n° 3 based on one of the first and the most important books about Calabria.
“Journals of a Landscape Painter in Southern Calabria” of EDWARD LEAR

The first book written by a British writer in the XIX century. An evocative itinerary that follows in the footsteps of Edward Lear, an English artist in love with Calabria, to discover the most fascinating side of Aspromonte.
Edward Lear, an English writer and illustrator who lived in the 1800s, was in love with Italy.
He traveled in the Roman countryside, in Abruzzo, and then in Molise, but it was Calabria above all that won him over: in 1847 he visited the province of Reggio, unable to go elsewhere because of the Reggio uprisings. His Journals of a Landscape Painter in Southern Calabria, published in 1852 in England, is a fascinating account of that Calabrian and Lucanian journey.
In the company of a friend and a little donkey, Edward Lear treated himself to a journey on foot to Aspromonte. And it is in those footsteps that the Englishman's Path passes today, a trek that skirts the Aspromonte National Park

“LA PIETA’ of GAGINI”: the only existing book about the beautiful piece of art - the marble group called “La pietà” of the sicilian architect and sculptur Antonello Gagini placed in the little "Addolorata" church characterizing the upper old village of Soverato superiore.
