Thinking about Italy in 2027? Getting here is becoming easier than ever. ✈️🇮🇹
United Airlines has just announced new nonstop service between Newark and Catania, Sicily, starting in May 2027 — four flights a week.
And that's not all. More direct connections between the U.S. and Italy are coming, including Washington D.C.–Milan, while Newark–Bari returns for summer 2027.
For American travelers, that means one very important thing:
Italy is getting easier to reach.
Fly into Sicily and discover volcanoes, ancient towns, coastal trails and some seriously good food.
Fly into Milan and continue to the Italian Lakes, Tuscany or the Cinque Terre.
Fly into Bari and you're already at the doorstep of Puglia and Matera.
And once you're here, we'll take care of the rest. 😉
Small groups. Local guides. Family-run restaurants and farms. Beautiful walks. Plenty of good food. And the Italy you don't always find in guidebooks.
2027 might be the easiest year yet to stop dreaming about Italy and actually come.

The wonderful group that Rudy (Naturing by Rudy Cucini - Slow Tuscany Experience) is taking on the Italian Alps and Dolomites tour to explore this amazing part of Italy. No AI. It's all true! 🥰
The group is formed by repeating guests. It's so rewarding that people love our trips and the phylosophy under it: exploring an area with a local aiming for the places that you couldn't find on your own, and most of all, away from the beaten path.

Sandra has been working with Walk About Italy for three years, taking care of all the important things that I would happily postpone forever: bookings, contracts, payments, room arrangements, paperwork and a thousand other details behind every tour.

In other words, I get to walk around Italy, meet our guests and talk about food and wine… while Sandra makes sure the company actually works!

Working with your sister is always an adventure — especially when she knows you well enough to remind you about everything you have forgotten. But I could not ask for a more reliable, patient and efficient person by my side.
