🇮🇹 Sabato 9 maggio – Alpe Pirlo
Prima uscita della collaborazione con IVM, l'Istituto Valtellinese di Mineralogia, e si parte da uno dei luoghi simbolo della pietra ollare in Valmalenco.
Un’escursione che ci porta fino all’Alpe Pirlo, tra ambienti aperti e tracce di un lavoro che qui ha segnato il paesaggio: vecchi torni, oggi ruderi, e un sapere che rischia di restare nascosto.
Visiteremo l’unica cava ancora attiva, quella della famiglia Gaggi, che ci accompagnerà dentro i processi di estrazione e lavorazione.
Gli esperti IVM ci aiuteranno invece a leggere la pietra, andando oltre quello che si vede.
Un’uscita che tiene insieme montagna, storia e materia. Senza filtri.

First outing of the collaboration with IVM, the Istituto Valtellinese di Mineralogia, starting from one of the key places for soapstone in Valmalenco.
A hike that leads us to Alpe Pirlo, through open landscapes and the traces of a craft that has shaped this area: old lathes, now in ruins, and a knowledge that risks being forgotten.
We will visit the only active quarry, run by the Gaggi family, who will guide us through the extraction and processing of the stone.
IVM experts will help us read the rock from a different perspective, going beyond what meets the eye.
An experience that brings together mountains, history and raw material. No filters.
