La Palma Nana is a two-bedroom little villa located in the peaceful surroundings of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area in Syracuse, Sicily. It features a delightful veranda with a seaview, where you can enjoy meals, or simply relax with a good glass of wine, admire stunning sunrises over the sea and gaze at beautiful starry skies at night.
🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏻‍♂️We're Alessandra and Manfredi, and we'll be your hosts during your stay. La Palma Nana is not just a vacation rental, it's also our home. We live in the main house most of the year, except for the summer months, when we leave it entirely to our guests, moving to the outbuilding next to the house, which has its own separate entrance to ensure your privacy.
🧘🏻‍♀️🌿Situated a few kilometers from Ortigia, our location offers a pleasant escape from the crowds and the hot summer temperatures thanks to the coastal breeze, while still being within easy reach of the city's attractions.
🌊🏊🏻‍♂️Just a short walk from the house, you can explore the rugged cliffs, enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters and discover the marvelous underwater world teeming with life in the marine protected area, which is one of the best spots in Sicily for snorkeling and diving. 🤿🐠

💁🏼‍♀️That's why it's called La Palma Nana 🌴👇🏻

"La Palma Nana" refers to the Mediterranean fan palm, scientifically known as Chamaerops humilis. It is indeed the only native palm tree species in the Mediterranean. Along the coast of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area, a large expanse of this palm species can be admired, particularly near the Capo Murro di Porco lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula, where our vacation home is located.

L'Area Marina Protetta del Plemmirio si trova a Siracusa, di fronte all'isola di Ortigia, e con i suoi fondali profondi e la tranquilla limpidezza del mar Ionio, è tra i migliori posti per fare snorkeling e immersioni in Sicilia. Essendo su una pen*sola, è possibile scegliere i punti più calmi in cui tuffarsi in ogni condizione di vento, e trovare delle calette deserte anche ad agosto.
Per chi cerca la comodità ci sono tre lidi, oppure le spiagge della Pillirina, del Minareto e di Punta del Pero.
Per chi invece vuole scoprire i punti più incontaminati c'è il sentiero naturalistico di 6 km che percorre tutta la costa, collegando i varchi a sud 27 e 28 alla Pillirina a nord, passando per Punta Tavernara, Punta del Gigante e Punta Tavola.
