August is almost over, but summer in Sicily definitely isn’t ☀️🇮🇹

Tomorrow we welcome September, and honestly, it’s one of our favourite times to experience the island.

The days in September are warm and sunny, the sea is around 25°C after heating up all summer, and there’s still plenty of time for beach days, swimming and boat trips 🌊 But as the peak August season comes to an end, the island slowly starts to feel a little more relaxed.

September also brings vendemmia 🍇 Grape harvest season is one of the most interesting times to discover Sicily’s wine culture, visit local wineries and, of course, taste some Sicilian wines.

Here is a little reminder: if you are coming to Sicily in September, we can help you make the most of your trip - from boat tours and wine tastings to Mount Etna experiences, private day trips, transfers and tailor-made experiences across the island.

Tell us where you’re staying and what you’d like to experience, and we’ll help with the rest 💛

If there’s one thing we always recommend adding to a Sicily trip, it’s a day out on the water 🌊

With a private boat, you can take your time, stop for a swim when you feel like it and reach some of the quieter spots along the coast that you simply can’t get to by land.

We offer private boat tours across East and West Sicily, with different routes depending on where you’re staying.

Mount Etna is erupting - and this is one of those special moments when you can witness the volcano in action 🌋

August 11, 2026 - an eruption is currently happening in the Valle del Bove, a deserted area far from residential areas.

Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, but that doesn’t mean it’s constantly erupting. It alternates between active eruptive phases and quieter periods, when the main visible activity is the degassing from its summit craters.

That’s why our Lava Tour is only organised when there is an active eruption that can be visited safely.

Depending on the eruption, lava can emerge from the summit or from the sides of the volcano, sometimes creating flows that travel for several kilometres down Etna’s slopes.

During the Lava Tour, our guides will take you to the best possible viewpoint to witness the active lava flow. When conditions allow, it may also be possible to get closer to the flow for an even more unforgettable experience.

And because Etna decides where the show happens, there’s no fixed itinerary. The route is adapted to the location of the eruption and the safety conditions on the day, and the trek can vary in difficulty depending on how accessible the lava flow is.
