There are many ways to visit the Egadi Islands.

This is our favorite.

A sailboat. Crystal-clear water. A leisurely lunch prepared with the best ingredients the season has to offer. And wines from Azienda Agricola Ansaldi, a family whose passion for Sicily is evident in every bottle they produce.

What makes days like this special isn’t just the scenery.

It’s the people behind the experience.

The winemakers who dedicate their lives to preserving Sicily’s traditions. The fishermen who know these waters intimately. The families who continue to share their corner of the island with genuine warmth and generosity.

We believe travel is at its best when it connects you to the people and places that make a destination unique.

This day on the water does exactly that.

Slow sailing. Good wine. Beautiful food. The Egadi Islands as they were meant to be experienced.

CAPERS… do you love them or hate them?

I’m convinced most people (myself included) have no idea what capers are actually supposed to taste like until they try Sicilian capers packed in sea salt.

Not vinegar. Not mushy little green things hiding in pasta salad. REAL CAPERS from Salina.

The first time I tasted them properly here, I finally understood why Sicilians use them in pretty much everything. They completely transform simple ingredients into something that tastes like the Mediterranean.

I just shared one of my favourite easy summer recipes on the blog featuring salted capers from Salina. It’s simple, full of flavour, and exactly the kind of dish I find myself craving as summer rolls around. And if you’re craving a Taste of Sicily, this is a simple way to bring it to your table!

For our final evening with our guests Jay & Grace from California, we gathered around the table at Ansaldi Winery for one of those nights you wish you could bottle up forever. Incredible food, exceptional wines, golden light over the vineyards, and the kind of company that reminds you why sharing Sicily is so special.

These are the evenings that stay with you long after the trip ends.

How do you choose the highlights when every moment feels special?

The food. The views. The smiles and laughter.
But what made this first Signature Eastern Sicily journey unforgettable were the people and the connections made along the way.

Strangers at the beginning of the 10 days… friends by the end of it.

We feel so privileged to share our Sicily with such wonderful people and create memories together that we know will stay with us for a very long time.

Our SIGNATURE EASTERN SICILY JOURNEY is off to a beautiful start.

Our first few days together have taken us through Taormina and the slopes of Mt. Etna… long lunches, vineyard conversations, sea views, tiny villages, and the kind of moments that can’t really be planned, only experienced.

There’s always something special about the beginning of a journey. As the days unfold, we get to know our guests more personally and watch them fall in love with Sicily the same way we did… through the warmth of its people, the power of the landscape, and the food that brings everyone together around the table.

To be trusted with someone’s time here, and to share this island we love so deeply with such wonderful people, is something we never take for granted.

Grateful already for this week together. 🤍

Have you experienced Sicily in bloom?

Sicily is often celebrated for her beaches and summer light. But April and May reveal a different side of the island.

The countryside turns a vivid green. Wildflowers weave through the hills. Almond and pear trees blossom. Vineyards begin their early growth. Markets overflow with spring produce, asparagus, fava beans, peas, artichokes, citrus still lingering in crates.

It is a short window.

Winemakers have time to walk their vineyards with us. Farmers are in full rhythm. Towns gather for Holy Week processions and local celebrations that belong to the community first.

This is why we begin our 2026 season here.

Our April and May itineraries are intentionally designed around Sicily’s agricultural and cultural calendar, seasonal menus, extended time in wine country, and space to experience the island without summer intensity.

Whether it is your first visit or your fifth, Sicily in spring feels like a different island.

We have a limited number of places remaining for our Western and Eastern April–May journeys.
