Decentralised Administration of Peloponnese,
Western Greece and the Ionian within the
ARGONAUT Project.
The event will bring together
public authorities, academia, port administrators
and tourism professionals to exchange views and
promote greener practices for the sustainable
development of nautical tourism in the
Adriatic–Ionian region.

On 19 March 2026, the second Project Management Board Meeting of the Argonaut Project will take place in Gallipoli. The partners will meet in the Council Chamber to discuss progress and outline the next steps, in the presence of the Joint Secretariat. The project promotes sustainable nautical tourism between Italy and Greece, focusing on eco-friendly services, green expertise and digital innovation to enhance the destinations involved 🌊⛵

Innovation, sustainability, cooperation: these are the favourable winds blowing for the Argonaut project, which unites Greece and Italy, and not only by sea. On 25 September, a well-attended project kick-off meeting was held in Italy, in the Magna Graecia city of Taranto, where old and new partners had the opportunity to define the next stages of development in person.

The kick-off meeting, organised by ITS Mobilità Academy, the project leader, was attended by the Nautical Industrial Puglia District, the Municipality of Gallipoli and Greek partners Port Authority of Corfu S.A., Patras Port Authority and the Decentralised Administration of the Peloponnese, Western Greece and Ionian Islands.

The spirit of cooperation between project's partners is the driving force behind the project, which aims to redefine the tourism and ecological development of the ports of Patras, Gallipoli and Corfu with a pilot action, reducing carbon emissions for the benefit of the Mediterranean Sea and its population through the structuring of an AI platform that allows the tracking of the most sustainable and safest nautical routes.
