Teramo’s Virtù, a Tasty Minestra Made only on the 1st of May

The ‘Virtù’ a traditional ‘minestra’ made of 50+ ingredients, prepared ONLY on the 1st of May in   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is prepared following an ancient complex recipe, believed to be propitiatory, a magic recipe, to be lived once in a lifetime.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This ancient dish, It requires 3 days of work as is made up of about 50 ingredients among different types of beans, legumes, chickpeas, seasonal vegetables, wild herbs, cut of meats, etc. All carefully prepared and cooked separately. A propitiatory dish to clean the pantry and welcome the warm season. 3 days where small communities gather together, cook, eat, drink and above all share and offer the Virtu’ to other families in the village!
