After COVID closed her business, Orlando-based Tour Guide, Mandy Longo, now lives in Europe.

Hello everyone! It’s Mandy here! It has been a few years, and I wanted to give you all an update.

As you probably know COVID destroyed my tour business. It was absolutely devastating to have to close down. Not only did it destroy my business, but it forced me to make some major life changes to figure out how to survive and move on.

I ended up selling my house and moving to Europe. I have a great job here that I love, and I am finally back on my feet.

Most of you know how creative I am and that I need to have my hands in some kind of project. One project I have been working on for many years is building my family tree and discovering where my ancestors immigrated from. A year and a half ago I traveled to Sicily to the town where my Longo family came from —- and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I had an instant connection to the land, the people, and the history.

Well, I am excited to say that I just purchased a home here in Sicily! I am going to completely renovate it and not only use it as a vacation home for myself, but also open it as an Air BnB.

I am so excited about this project and I wanted to share this exciting news with all of you. I absolutely loved our time together in Orlando and Winter Park on the tours and I miss that part of my life. It has been a long road, but I can finally say I am in a good place again and I am eager to start this next chapter.

We, at Around Orlando Tours (formerly Mosquito County Tours), would like to thank all of you for your support in our short 2 1/2 years in business. We truly loved each and every tour and spreading the love around Orlando. Although we have closed our doors, we hope to continue to spread the love here, across America, and the globe. Hello everyone! This is Mandy here, owner of Around Orlando Tours (please follow our new page). We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there! We have had our tours on hold for awhile, due to the current state of the world. Our guests safety is our top priority, so we have developed new guidelines that will allow us to safely resume tour operations, including: increased safety measures, limiting tour group size, and modification of tours. Beginning in September we will be resuming two tours: the Historic Downtown Orlando Walking Tour (Tuesday’s and Saturday’s at 11 AM) and the Winter Park Walking Tour (Friday’s at 10 AM). Although you might not be able to take the trip you were hoping to, this is a great time to explore your own back yard. We would love to take you on a tour and discover even more to love about this beautiful city!

We’re slowly and cautiously reopening, along with much of the City Beautiful, by providing two of our favorite outdoor walking tours of Orlando and Winter Park. Take a look at this video highlighting some of the amazing sights you’ll see while still practicing the recommended physical distancing guidelines on our Winter Park Tour.
