Day 1️⃣1️⃣

Wrap up day - time to say goodbye.

We spent 11 amazing days together - so many laughs, stories, happy tears! But in the end, what we take with us are the memories, the bonds, friendships and so much love!

Sicily is stunning - it provides endless "wow" factors - history, food, w**e, views, oceans, Islands, culture, music and so much more - but in the end, what MAKES the trip is the people we share it with, the endless memories we cherish and hold dear which give us a much needed giggle and humor boost when we are back to our normal lives.

Life is hard - but taking these breaks from our normal life - pressures, duties and situations - is such a gift and to share it with such beautiful people... I have no words, only heartfelt gratitude 💜

I love you all and will miss you tons!

Day 🔟

Today we explored the fishing village of Marzamemi - enjoyed a wonderful seafood meal (for most of us... Lol) and then went on to visit Noto. The Moody weather provided a perfect backdrop and the realization that it was almost time to say goodbye was hanging thick in the air.

We had one last meal together - lots of laughs and tears. We became family - so many good moments! Not ready to say goodbye.

Day 9️⃣

Today we bid farewell to our amazing furry hosts who had an earful of us lol

We had a longer driving day - headed to the outskirts of Siracusa. We settled into our hotel and enjoyed an aperitivo watching the horses get ready for the race and some of us... catcalling the riders lol

Dinner was in Ortigia... I like to call her the Venice of Sicily. Beautiful stroll, lovely dinner and yes, some shopping, made for a wonderful evening.

Day 8️⃣

Today we explored the history surrounding my area - from the devastating 1968 earthquake to the monument known as be Cretto di Burri that commemorates this area's deep scars.

Next we went to Erice - had my favorite seafood cous cous La Pentolaccia di Erice - amazing staff and Paolo is a simply a gem! And great food! We shopped Erice, missed the entry time for temples of Segesta... But that was ok too. We went for dinner at my local hangout - tried babbaluci and just soaked in the small town atmosphere. Another great day 💜

Day 7️⃣

Oh this was a favorite day by far! We had our own private boat and explored the Egadi Islands of Levanzo and Favignana. We swam, snorkeled, karaokes, danced and rode some serious waves in our way home! Amazing crew, awesome captain. We enjoyed the local red tuna and soaked in all the salt and ocean we could! I even got to snorkel with our awesome skipped Dario and found sea urchins, starfish and miriads of amazing fish! Of course, everytime I put my mask on and put my head under water I hear the "Jaws" theme song and have a minor panic attack but I'm getting better - I now remix the Song in my head to a tecno beat and It makes it bearable.

Simply a spectacular day!

Day 6️⃣

Today was all about food and relax!

Francesca and Nonna Santina showed us how to make several local dishes - from antipasto caponata, to handmade busiate pasta, pesto trapanese and involtini. We topped it with delicious Sfince. We cooked, are, drank w**e and repeated for the better part of the day. We also enjoyed relaxing massages on site and soaked in the tranquility of this incredible location.

Food, famiglia, vino and relax! What else can we ask for? 💜

Day 5️⃣

We bid farewell to our favorite medieval town and stopped in Castelbuono to sample a local remedy called "manna" and locally made, artisanal panettone from

Did some shopping, enjoyed some gelato and after a leisurely visit we set off for Santa Ninfa - my local town. On the way, we stopped at a shopping center for lunch and essentials.

After our warm welcome, we enjoyed a family style dinner and the serene atmosphere only can offer.

Tonight I got to sleep in my bed and see my boys and Ty. I also had an incredible surprise waiting for me when I got home! A care package from with the best shirt ever 💞💞💞 cannot thank you enough!!! Such an awesome surprise!

Day 4️⃣

Today we enjoyed the crisp Mountain air of the Madonie mountains. We are lodging at in a small medieval town called Geraci Siculo - staff, rooms, food, spa and hospitality are simply perfect!

They organized an excursion for us to make cheese - from the milking to making Tuna, Ricotta, caciocavallo and more! It was simply an incredible experience with breathtaking views, wonderful characters, many laughs and amazing food!

Afterwards we hiked the town of Geraci Siculo. Still one of my favorite spots - nothing like it.

Day 3️⃣

We bid farewell to the smoky volcano and drove along the northern coast to Cefalù. Enjoyed a nice lunch, did some shopping and explored this beautiful town. Then we headed for the mountains! Clear mountain fresh air and perfect tranquility (after the windy roads ..).
Topped it off with a private spa session - pool, sauna and steam room and the very entertaining cold water bucket 🪣

Off to dinner 😋 we did work up an appetite finally!

Day 2️⃣

Today was all about Mamma Etna! She's been particularly feisty lately - her smoking habits are out of control! She even put on a show with red smoke today and served up an impressive variety of weather: sunny, gale force sandy winds, rain and clouds. Impressive! I'm still finding sand in my ears lol

After exploring one of the extinct craters, doing some shopping and a break we made our way to the best w**ery around

. Giuseppe and his team welcomed us like family: we had some Amazing food and incredible w**e and many laughs. I love this w**ery because you don't feel like a number - you can stay as long as you want, you see actual vines and grapes, the views are spectacular and everything is simply perfect!

Twas a great day! 💞
