Neapolitan Zeppole
Zeppola di San Giuseppe is a traditional Neapolitan pastry dessert, widespread throughout Campania, whose name derives from the fact that it is typical of the feast of San Giuseppe, on March 19th.
Fried Zeppole di San Giuseppe are typical Father’s Day desserts, filled with custard and black cherries.
Wine: you can pair them with a fortified or sweet wine. A classic pairing is with a Vinsanto, a Passito or a Moscato d’Asti, which have aromatic notes and a sweet flavor that blend perfectly with the flavors and aromas of sweet zeppole.
