Having originated in Italy, there is no surprise that one of the most visited sites for slow tourism is in Piedmont. Within the Langhe Hills there is a small village named Barolo in which the Collisioni Festival takes place. Barolo is well-known for its wines, which are produced in the vineyards scattered across its land. The festival itself takes place every year during the Summer with great support from the Italian government in order to promote culture and art.
