Puglia holds a quiet kind of magic — not just in its landscapes, but in its everyday rituals.

In Bari, crudo isn’t a trend. It’s tradition. At the old port, locals still buy sea urchins, shrimp, and octopus straight from the fishermen, eating them raw with just a squeeze of lemon. The taste is clean, briny, and unmistakably real.

In nearby Giovinazzo, the day’s catch is handled with care and skill, including the age-old technique of tenderizing octopus — a practiced motion, done by hand, that speaks to the deep knowledge of the sea.

In Puglia, food is part of the rhythm of life. And that rhythm is something we’re always grateful to share.

In Sardinia, a group of giants silently watch over thousands of years of history. They are the Giganti di Mont’e Prama.

Carved between the 9th and 8th centuries BC, these Nuragic stone statues stand beside ancient tombs, depicting boxers, archers, and warriors. Considered the oldest large statues in the Mediterranean, they remain one of archaeology’s most fascinating enigmas.

Discovered near Cabras on the Sinis Peninsula, they are now preserved at the Museo Civico Giovanni Marongiu in Cabras and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Cagliari.

To stand before them is to feel time stretch across centuries, connecting past and present.
