So as someone from Asia, I wondered if Latin American food was good. I craved spices after being on the road for so long but I found out that Peru was ranked third best food in the world in 2026 and now I get why. Here are my favourite spots:

🍜 Huaraz

• Chifa Hifa, for Chinese-Peruvian food
• Chilli Heaven, for the best fajitas and green curry you’ll have after a trek

☕ Cusco

• Three Monkeys Cafe, for coffee and cacao
• Nuna Raymi, farm to table with some of Peru’s 4,000 potato varieties (also where I tried cuy)
• Tamalayes, street stall for tamales
• Mercado Central de San Pedro, for the best fruit juices, Chirimoya is a must

We did it self guided and everyday was a highlight on its own. It is also not superbly hard - we even saw loads of people in their 60s doing it on ebikes!

🥹If you hate crowds, this is the most unique way to see Italy and their in-between towns!

⛰️ Okay so I always assumed Machu Picchu = multi-day trek, no way around it. And look, you CAN still do the Salkantay trek if you want to. But this time? We went full relaxation mode instead.

We did this in two days: Sacred Valley one day, Machu Picchu the next with the train ride.

📌 Booked this whole thing through Alpaca Expeditions Travel Peru and I’m still thinking about how smooth it all was — the guide knew everything, the train ride was actually fun, food was solid the whole way.

Taiping, you have it good.

For those who don’t know — Taiping is a rainforest town about 3 hours from KL, easily reached by ETS train.

I’ve been here so many times, and honestly I’ve been hesitant to share another reel on what to do here but I need to capture just how good it is. Here are some of my favorite spots recently 👇

🥐 Celyne's Dessert
💧 Bukit Larut waterfall
🥾 Gunung Semanggol (25 mins away by car)

I love small sleepy towns and every afternoon when it rains here.. I am reading at a quiet cafe, doing work and looking out the window at the wildlife here especially the hornbills, dusky leaf monkeys and kingfishers.

⛰️I spent my time in Autumn hiking the Annapurna Circuit solo in Nepal on a whim. It took me all of 7 days to decide I needed to be in the mountains and it just happened really spontaneously!

It was surreal reaching 5415m in Thorong La pass which is around 300 ft higher than Everest Base Camp.

There’s a mountain in Peru that inspired one of the most terrifying survival movies ever made 🏔️ I spent 5 days hiking through it.

We did this hike with High Expeditions and it was the best!

This is the Cordillera Huayhuash in northern Peru, 7 peaks over 5,000m, and I didn’t even know places like this existed here.

Raw, wild, and genuinely hard (you need 3 days in Huaraz to acclimatise first and drink a lot of coca tea the whole time). But the payoff is mirror lakes under 6,000m peaks, landscapes that look like a Lord of the Rings set, and the same peak, Siula Grande, that inspired Touching the Void.

✌️ I’ve done treks in the Balkans and the Himalayas, but this one in the Andes hits different.

Everyone told me not to go to Brazil. Turns out the safest way to see it was on two wheels 🚲🇧🇷

I rode through São Paulo’s street art, stopped in Liberdade their Japanese neighbourhood and did a historical bike tour of the coolest places in Brazil.

Did you know São Paulo has more Japanese people than anywhere outside Japan, and more Italians than most cities in Italy?

What if I told you that you could cycle from the Dolomites all the way to Venice? 🇮🇹🚲

Cycled 300km over 7 days with and I think this might be the best trip I’ve ever done in Italy.

The route took us from Toblach all the way down through Cortina d’Ampezzo, Belluno, Feltre, Bassano del Grappa, a detour through Asolo, then Treviso before finally reaching Venice.

Alpine peaks one day, a cherry farm the next, the actual birthplace of tiramisu somewhere in the middle, and a lagoon waiting at the end of it all.

We did it self-guided with Sackmann Fahrradreisen, they handled the route, GPS navigation, hotels and luggage transfers.
