Zu sehen sind einige monumentale Gemälde mit goldenem Grund von Georg Baselitz, einem der bedeutendsten Protagonisten der zeitgenössischen deutschen Kunst, der vor wenigen Monaten verstorben ist.
Im Zentrum der Serie Goldene Helden erscheinen auf dem Kopf stehende Figuren – eines der prägnantesten Merkmale im Schaffen des Künstlers. Die Figuren, hier Selbstporträts von Baselitz und seiner Frau, treten durch reduzierte, entschlossene Pinselstriche auf der goldenen Oberfläche hervor, begleitet von Tuschespuren, die an die japanische Kalligrafie erinnern.
Das Gold wird so nicht nur zum Hintergrund, sondern zu einer Präsenz, die die Figuren umhüllt und ihre symbolische Dimension verstärkt.

On display are several monumental paintings with golden backgrounds by Georg Baselitz, one of the most important protagonists of contemporary German art, who passed away a few months ago.
At the centre of the Golden Heroes series are figures depicted upside down, one of the most distinctive features of the artist’s work. The figures, often self-portraits of Baselitz and his wife, emerge on the golden surface through spare, decisive brushstrokes, accompanied by ink marks that evoke Japanese calligraphy.
Gold thus becomes not merely a background, but a presence that envelops the figures and enhances their symbolic dimension.

Sono esposte alcune monumentali tele a fondo d’oro di Georg Baselitz, tra i più importanti protagonisti dell’arte tedesca contemporanea, scomparso pochi mesi fa.
Al centro della serie Eroi d’oro compaiono figure capovolte, una delle cifre più riconoscibili della ricerca dell’artista. I personaggi, spesso autoritratti di Baselitz e della moglie, emergono sulla superficie dorata attraverso pennellate essenziali e decise, accostate a segni d’inchiostro che richiamano la calligrafia giapponese.
L’oro diventa così non soltanto uno sfondo, ma una presenza che avvolge le figure e ne accentua la dimensione simbolica

The Historical Regatta is a traditional Venetian event that takes place every year, on the first Sunday of September, along the Grand Canal.
The celebration begins with a historical parade of boats, with rowers wearing traditional costumes.
Afterwards, several Venetian rowing races take place, which are very important to the city’s tradition.
