Il Brava in strapoggia, il suo armatore Pasquale Landolfi che è mezzo sott'acqua e guarda stralunato il fotografo che riprende la scena: è un giovane di Como, tale Carlo Borlenghi.
Da questa foto nasce il mito di Borlenghi, oggi considerato tra i più grandi fotografi di vela al mondo.
