If I’m honest, if I could’ve added an extra £500 a month while on maternity leave, it would’ve made a huge difference.

Not because I wanted more “stuff”.
But because it would’ve meant less stress, more breathing room, and not feeling guilty every time we planned a day out.

I was always looking for something I could do in nap times. Something flexible. Something that worked around being a mum, not instead of it.

Fast forward to now, I’ve built a little business that fits around my family and brings in extra income without rigid hours or pressure.

At the start of January 2026 our little boy is due and I want to be really honest about what that looks like work wise.

I’m not taking maternity leave in the traditional sense. I will slow down. I will step back. Some days I won’t touch my phone at all.

But that’s the whole point.

This business doesn’t demand set hours, targets or deadlines. I can pick it up when I have the energy and put it down when my family needs me more.

I’ll work in pockets of time around my life. Instead of doom scrolling, I’ll be more intentional with my time.

Most jobs expect your life to fit around them this one fits around mine.

I get asked this a lot, how do you actually earn from this business?

There are two ways, two businesses that work hand in hand.

The first is a travel platform. Every time a holiday, hotel or flight, car hire, airport lounge, sightseeing tour, concert tickets or even theatre ticket is booked through you, you earn the commission that is built into the price.

The second (and the one that excites me the most) is a marketing business, this simply enables you, through a referral link, to share the travel platform with others so they can earn the commission back that is built in.

So I sell travel and then I can also sell the travel platform so others can sell travel as well.
