Tao is now in Spain!
With a brand new engine, genoa, and cruising shute for the new season.
We are cruising between Valencia, Alicante, Cartagena and the spectacular calas of the beautiful Balerics (Maljorca, Menorca and Ibiza).

We are offering great value this season by only asking you to help share some of the costs for this season's maintenance (new shrouds, adding an inner forestay , new storm jib).

Its all about our guests comfort on Tao...we are very proud of the new teak duck-board floor we made yesterday for the guest en-suite shower. Productive morning! We have cleaned the port diesel tank and fabricated and fitted new neoprene gaskets for the fuel sender and the inspection hatch! It would be impossible do these jobs without my wonderful wife, partner, crewmate and soul mate... Caroline (she who has the only official diesel maintenance ticket aboard Tao!) Thanks love xx

Thanks to Gianni and Piero our engine is fixed and we are back in business.
We have slots available for trips heading North to Rome from next week to 21 July and our fabulous regular trips from Vibo to Tropea/Stromboli/Capo Vaticano/Lipari etc from 10 August.

Piero and Gianni...diesel engine magicians!
These guys have given us our Summer back. They have managed to refurbish the injector pump. Gianni says it will see us through the Summer. In Winter we will take the plunge and fit an brand new Yanmar 3JH40 and SD60 saildrive. It is a big investment but it will give us reliability and efficiency

Boats can be difficult mistresses and Tao is no different. Our Lombardini diesel engine injector pump failed on our last trip to Palinuro (but we had a great 80 mile sail back, thank you wind!). The master mechanics have been, taken the pump away for a refurbishment and will report back on Sunday. Fingers crossed!
