One of the matches I had at the half guard sweep to The finish here is a little different as I started with the head on the same side as the shoulder but moved my torso to block the head from staying the near the Kimura which in turn constricts and tightens the shoulder girdle resulting in an extremely brutal shoulder lock.

Nothing is more immobilizing then putting a persons hand behind their back. It’s something Masahiko Kimura understood and used expertly. It’s ironic that one of the most debilitating moves in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu isn’t even Brazilian. I enjoy the power and sheer ferocity of the technique, here I am able to lock in the figure of four and finish my opponent in 6 seconds. Luckily he tapped just in time and was prevented from being injured. I love grappling in its entirety and hopefully I will have the honor of competing on , and or thanks for watching!

Couldn’t be prouder of this group right here. From multiple training rotations all year long to foreign countries to being locked down for an entire week on base. These guys and gals trainings their asses of, barely complaining. We brought back 1 gold 3 silver and 1 bronze. Such an amazing feet for and the thank you so much to for beating me last year and making me push myself. Thank you .ann.nguyen your mentorship, teaching and constant reminder to be disciplined have impacted more people then you realize. for hosting such a professional and well run tournament the refs were truly knowledgeable.

The Kimura isn’t a strong man move. The biggest take away I have gotten from Training under for a short amount of time as well as training at with was the control and transformative nature of the Kimura. It is possibly the strongest 2 on 1 grip that exists within grappling. It can be used to place your opponent as well as yourself into almost every position. Anything from an arm-bar to the rear mount position and in-between is available to you through the Kimura. I highly suggest Kimura:Enter the system and Kimura trap tutorial on YouTube.
