*MONTE PIZZOC*
_Over the top_

From Vittorio Veneto on the way to , after Passo Crocetta a little road on the left of the mail street will takes you across wild trees forest to the top of Monte Pizzoc.
The top is on 1565m on sea and once was an army field force, which only few years ago has been dismissed and still a very few remains are still visible; the platform on top is now called Piazza della Pace ( Peace Square). From here you can admire a 360° panorama from all around. In sunny days Venice looks so clear and near to think you can just touch it with a hand; is even possible to see the little isles in the sea in front of Venice… on the other way the eyes can reach all the magnificent of the high mountains of Cadore Dolomites and far more. Watching the land you can see all the hogback rising from flat to hill and to mountain; all around the lakes of Santa Croce or ’s and of course the beautiful Pian Cansiglio down there in the green…the landscape is characteristic with cows pasture and farmland called “casère” where in the summer cheese is made and directly sell.
The Rifugio Vittorio Veneto will welcome you with typical and traditional food and a unique panorama from the outside tables.

*THE LAKE DISTRICT*
_Revine’s lakes_

Just a few minutes away from you’ll find a beautiful lake district, the Revine’s Lakes area.
In the middle of the Valley and between the Mid Venetian Alps there are 2 lovely lakes: Santa Maria and Lago, connected by a tiny istmo, knows as the Revine’s Lakes.
Formed by an ancient glacier are becoming an evocative corner welcoming tourists looking for nature and old tradition.
The little stone houses of Revine and Tarzo and the surrounding mountains reflects in the clear water of the lakes; in the summer this area is furnished for sunbathing, swimming and rowboats; in the winter the cold temperature freeze part of the lakes and is possible to ice skating.

*DUOMO di CENEDA*
_The house of a Pope_

Within the beautiful squares in Piazza Giovanni Paolo 1 in Ceneda is certainly one of the most interesting. Coming up from the city centre you don’t even imagine the scenario that will open at your eyes as you get in the square.
At your left the Diocese building; in front of you the lovely Villa Papadopoli and the Pubblic Library; in the centre a nice fountain and just beside it the restylished Museo della Battaglia, but it is the Cattedrale of Santa Maria Assunta and (dedicated to) San Tiziano that makes the square so beautiful.
His origins are very ancient, is the first holy place builded in Vittorio Veneto from VII-VIII century; the Cathedral has been rebuild once in romanesque style until the XVII century and it has been builded again in neoclassical style around the 1700. The magnificent façade makes you full of respect. Only the tower bells is a remain fron ancient times. Near the Cathedral there is a statue of POPE GIOVANNI PAOLO I formal Bishop of Vittorio Veneto

_The Great Fire works_

There is always something magic when you gaze on fireworks; memories of fairy tales, when a princess get married to prince charming, or happiness because the “rumbling” shake your soul and loose excitement, or just the magic of the fireworks it self, how someone is able to do it ? to create such a beautiful picture exploding in the sky.
In the night of the 21st of August, the FOGHI de SANTAGUSTA are just this, Magic! For half an hour you’ll be head up admiring the fireworks, gazing at them with surprise and wonder, with the colored shadows of the fire lighting the ancients venetian building of Serravalle, listening to the “OHHH”, AHHH”, “WOWWWW” exclamation of the over 20.000 people around you that, like you, are enchanted from this beauteousness

BIG PARTY in SERRAVALLE
The Secolare Fiera di Sant’Augusta

Every year from 15 to 22 of August in Serravalle at Vittorio Veneto there is a big popular festival the ’AUGUSTA with carousels, wine and food stands, beer festival and Great Fireworks.
In the heart of the historic centre events, performances, and live music of all the kind, in the environment of sweeties booths and stands and various Merry-go-round will be an enjoy of sounds and colors, suggestions and wonders.
Festivities starts on Saturday 15 August with the SAGRA DEI OSEI (birds festival): at dawn the beautiful sound of birds sing contest, in the morning the best “not pedigree” dogs contest (loved by children) and all day the falconry men and their awesome hawks flying over heads.
During the week there will be some exhibits and events in memory of the WW1; one of which will be the turn on of a beacon between Sant’Augusta hill ( where the Saint’s Church is situated, see post of April 22nd) and Monte Baldo to symbolically recall the sense of perception of the war time.
But Sant’Augusta Fair is just and only the joy of Serravalle’s citizens and volunteers, working to get everything perfect and to let the big machine of the Festival going on without any trouble, all together involved until the 21st evening where almost 20.000 people and more ( yes! you read right!) will be with head up to see the most beautiful Fire Works of the region (seconds only to the one of Redentore in Venice) that for about 30 minutes will fills up the surrondings with lights, colors and of course “RUMBLING”, making everyone happy to be there in this big warm popular hug.

VITTORIO VENETO – IL CENTRO
Conjuction of 2 worlds

Vittorio Veneto is born in 1866 by the union of 2 historics centre, Serravalle & Ceneda.
The way of conjunction from the north side is a beautiful tree avenue Viale della Vittoria which takes you across Serravalle, with his venetian style palaces, through Via Cavour, with its side magnificent villas, to the centre of Vittorio Veneto.
On the left the City Hall build on 1872 on Piazza del Popolo, a big square place where urban events takes place most often.
Is a classic mix of late XIX century style buildings, in a suggestive picture which takes the famous Gardens of Vittorio Veneto; they are not so big but so lovely nurtured just at the opposite side of the street, those gardens guests beautiful fountains.

In Anzano di Ca****la Maggiore, just few minutes away from the historic city of we hire weekly and monthly our Casale: a pool in the garden park ensure you a refreshing amusement when days are very hot, your child are most welcome and will enjoy it! The playing room will gives fun in the evening with the vintage flipper, the ping pong area and the music radio to amuse on the patio where sofas and comfy armchair will welcome you while chatting and drinking our sparkling wine in the fresh of the venetian evening.
The Casale will remind you of an old Spanish farm with his white wall, the big patio, the lovely archs with flowers. Fruit trees in the summer will support with their product.
