MONSTROPOLIS UPDATE!

Disney has revealed new story details for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Set after the events of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., the city is preparing for its biggest celebration ever: H.U.M.A.N. Day (Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice)

For the first time, humans are being invited into Monstropolis as monsters and humans come together through laughter instead of screams.

👹 What we know so far:
• The land takes place after Sulley and Mike discover laughter is more powerful than screams
• Guests will visit Monstropolis during H.U.M.A.N. Day, a citywide celebration welcoming humans
• The new Department of Human Relations is helping monsters prepare for their first human visitors
• Guests will explore the streets of Monstropolis and interact with its citizens
• Iconic locations including Harryhausen’s and the Glob Theater will be part of the land

🎢 Confirmed Attraction:
• Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster
• Guests will board a door and race through the Monsters, Inc. door vault just like in the film

🍽️ Confirmed Dining:
• Harryhausen’s restaurant

🏙️ Confirmed Experiences:
• Explore the streets of Monstropolis
• Visit recognizable locations from the movie
• Experience a fully realized monster city filled with businesses, entertainment, and monster culture

This is shaping up to be a very immersive land and I can’t wait to see it!

Would you step through the closet door into Monstropolis? 🚪👀

🚨 BIG Disneyland news! Starting June 9, Park Hopper guests can officially hop between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure ANY time of day!

No more waiting until 11 AM to switch parks. Whether you’re rope dropping one park and grabbing lunch in the other, or chasing your favorite rides and snacks across the esplanade, you will have way more flexibility to plan your day your way.

Park reservations are still required, but the 11 AM hopping restriction is finally going away!

Who’s ready to park hop like the pre-pandemic days? 👏👇

A fun Disney Cruise Line tradition, besides Fish Extenders, is Door Decorating. 🚪

You are welcome to personalize your stateroom door with tasteful magnets for a celebration or simply to add a touch of fun!

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, please take note of the following guidelines for decorating your stateroom door:

• Please avoid using tape and other adhesives, including gel adhesives, to affix items to your stateroom door, as this can damage the door’s finish.

• Using over-the-door hanging organizers is prohibited, as they may cause scratches or other damage to stateroom doors and trim.

• Items of value should not be used to decorate your stateroom door. Disney Cruise Line is not responsible for damage to or loss of these items.

• As a courtesy to other Guests, sound or video elements should not be used.

• Decorations should only be placed on doors and are not permitted on corridor walls or ceilings. Do not block the room number.

Guests who damage doors in violation of these guidelines will be assessed a $100 fee per incident to cover the cost of repairs.

Note that magnets will not adhere to Concierge stateroom doors on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, as these doors are wooden.

The major updates to the Disney Cruise Line alcohol policy include:

New Carry-On Limits
• You may bring 1 bottle of wine/champagne (750ml) OR one 6-pack of beer (12oz). The previous policy allowed 2 bottles of wine or a 6-pack of beer.
• Limits apply per guest aged 21+ (18+ for Singapore) at embarkation only.
• You can no longer bring more alcohol onboard at ports of call. Alcohol bought at ports is collected and held until the cruise ends.
• Alcohol bought in ship shops is also held until the final morning.
• The dining room corkage fee drops from $29 to $20 per bottle.

A few important reminders:
• These must be packed in your carry-on bag, not
checked luggage
• Outside alcohol cannot be consumed in lounges or
other public spaces onboard

Policies can change so it’s a good idea to double check before your sailing date or use a travel advisor, like myself, to keep you informed. I can provide all of the details that can make embarkation day much smoother.
