🐚 FIFTY SHELLS OF HERM 🐚

Sometimes, the loveliest reminders of what Herm means to people come from the people who return to our shores year after year. 💙

David Williams has been visiting The White House Hotel for more than 20 years, returning with his daughter, Bethany, for their special father-and-daughter escape.

Over the years, Herm has become a treasured part of their family story. It holds so many special memories that Bethany even chose the island as the setting for her wedding, and together, they fondly describe their annual visit as their “trip to Paradise.” ✨

During a recent stay, David captured a little of that Herm magic in a beautiful poem, 'Fifty Shells of Herm', inspired by the shells and marine treasures scattered along our shores. 🐚

David has very kindly given us permission to share his words, and we couldn’t think of a lovelier way to celebrate the special connection our guests have with this little island we’re so lucky to call home.

A heartfelt thank you to David for sharing his poem, and to both David and Bethany for making Herm part of their family traditions for so many wonderful years.

Here’s to hidden seaside treasures, and many more trips to Paradise 🏝️💙🌊
