Happy International Womens Day to all the wild women out there ✨
Those who continue to adventure, explore, expand their minds and share their souls. 👭

It's an absolute joy to be able to bring together adventurous women with a wild spirit to experience the best of Africa's wildernesses and share their stories around the camp fire, under the stars.

Profits from our trips also go to supporting young women through the EmergeLanka organisation. A fantastic charity set up to help girls in Sri Lanka who have been abused, helping them through the trauma and teaching them new skills to support themselves.

An adolescent male lion keeping his eyes on us at 🦁

Sub-adult males typically leave their pride between the ages of two and four. Upon leaving, they embark on a journey to find or establish their own territory.

This period of transition is often fraught with challenges as they face competition from other males and learn valuable hunting and survival skills.

They may be "common" but the impala are still one of my favourite animals, they are such beautiful antelope.

Did you know that impalas can leap up to 10 feet high and cover distances of up to 33ft in a single bound? 🦌 Incredible athletes of the African savannah.

We had the most amazing sighting while staying at Noka Camp recently.

Two adolescent male lions came across a couple of adult white rhino's and spent 15 minutes circling them and trying to get closer.

The rhino's however were barely fazed as they continued to graze and if the lions got a little close for comfort only had to take a couple of steps forward to chase them off.

Wonderful to see two members of the Big 5 interacting with one another.

Always a joy to watch a newly born but even more so in a species which is so endangered, these little ones are a symbol of hope for the conservation of these animals.

Cheeky Cheetah 🐾
Juvenile cheetahs, like the young explorer in this photo, remain with their mothers for about 18 months, learning crucial survival skills such as hunting and how to avoid predators.

During this period, their playful behaviours, like climbing on unexpected objects, also help them develop agility and coordination, essential for their future as the fastest land animal!

Such a unique experience seeing an African Bush Pig from our boat safari with

Did you know despite their robust appearance, African bush pigs are incredibly agile and can run at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour) when they need to evade predators or chase prey such as rodents, birds and reptiles.

This was an amazing moment watching a young baboon having what can only be described as a temper tantrum 🐒😫

While the other slightly older baboons played, this one was pulled back by its mother and made to stay with her as it fought to getaway.

I love watching the social interactions of these fascinating primates, the dynamics are so much like us!
