After months of hard work, long days and dedication, our team needs and deserves some time to rest, recharge and come back stronger. 💚

Black River Safari will therefore be closed from September 7 – 21, 2026, for our scheduled staff vacation and we’ll re-open on Tuesday, September 22.

While our team takes this much-needed break, the work will not stop. During this period, we will continue making progress with the ongoing rebuilding, restoration and development of Black River Safari as we work toward coming back even better than before.

Our recovery journey is far from over, but we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us along the way. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support as we rebuild, recover and move forward together. 🐊🚤🌴

🌿 As Black River Safari continues its strong recovery from Hurricane Melissa, we were proud to host the IUCN and our valued partners for the unveiling of the new Black River Lower Morass interpretive sign.

Following the ceremony, guests experienced the beauty and biodiversity of this internationally important wetland on a guided Black River Safari boat tour.
