Did you know? China is the third largest country in the world in terms of territory and one of the world's greatest ancient civilizations. They are pioneers in paper-making, printing and tea. Its history has left us many world-famous heritage sites to explore, such as the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors of Xi'an, and ancient towns such as Lijiang. But it's also a modern country, with grooming cities, skyscrapers, firsthand technology, and a surprising food scene. Being so vast, it’s not a surprise to find such a contrast … but it is surprising that the entire country operates on Beijing time, even though the country covers five time zones.
