🇯🇲🎸 A very special honour for a true Reggae legend! ❤️💛💚

Legendary Jamaican guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith has received the Order of Distinction for his outstanding contribution to reggae music for more than 5 decades!

Chinna celebrated his 71st birthday on August 6th, Jamaica’s Independence Day, so there was definitely something extra special to celebrate this year.

For those who know and love Roots Reggae, Chinna’s name needs little introduction. He played with Soul Syndicate and The Aggrovators and worked with so many great artists, including Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Max Romeo and Johnny Clarke.

But there is another side to Chinna that we really appreciate.

His home in Kingston has always been a place where people, music and good vibes come together. The Inna De Yard sessions grew from those gatherings and became a beautiful way of keeping the spirit of Roots music alive – with musicians of different generations sharing songs, stories and experiences.

We love taking our guests to visit him and sharing those special moments with them. Sitting together, listening to the music, talking and simply enjoying the atmosphere – these are the experiences that stay with you long after you leave Jamaica.

So today we simply want to say:

Congratulations, Chinna! You deserve it.

Thank you for the music, the memories and for always making us feel welcome.

🇯🇲 Happy Independence Day, Jamaica! 🇯🇲

What an unforgettable experience it was to celebrate Jamaica's Independence Day in beautiful Treasure Beach!

The traditional Treasure Beach Boat Parade brought the community together with colorful boats, music, laughter, and an incredible sense of pride. It was amazing to witness the vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and joyful spirit that make Jamaica so special.

Montego Bay has a new attraction! 🥳 A few days ago was the launch of A Mi Mek It in Mobay!
It's not the typical tourist attraction, it felt more like stepping into the everyday spirit of Jamaica. Warm, creative, colorful, and full of personality.

The experience takes visitors through a traditional Jamaican-style back yard setting where you can discover local plants, fruit trees and herbal remedies.
There are so many thoughtful little details throughout the space, from the tree house and gardens to the animals roaming around, which made it feel very welcoming.

What we enjoyed most was how interactive everything was. It’s not just about looking around. Guests can actually connect with Jamaican culture through food, music, art, handmade crafts, and creative activities. Yes, here you can create your own selfmade memory! There’s a very relaxed and joyful atmosphere that really captures the energy of the island.
A beautiful new addition to Montego Bay and definitely worth experiencing.

World Turtle Day reminds us of something truly powerful:
these ancient ocean travelers have survived for over 100 million years — and today, they need our protection more than ever.

Among them is the Hawksbill Sea Turtle 🐢 — a critically endangered species, known for its beautiful shell and vital role in maintaining healthy coral reef ecosystems.

But due to illegal trade, habitat loss, pollution, and climate change, their survival is under serious threat.
This is why conservation matters.

The Project 🐢 in Jamaica is working on the front lines to protect nesting beaches, rescue hatchlings, and give these turtles a safer chance to reach the ocean.
Every small life that reaches the sea is a victory for nature.

The 10th and final day of the round trip of Jamaica has come! With the island's most famous waterfalls, Dunn's River Falls, our guests enjoyed a wonderful conclusion to their adventurous, 10-day round trip.
We then set off on our final drive to Negril, where they will spend a few more days relaxing on the beach at the Country Country Hotel. It was there that we experienced our first rain. The skies wept because this beautiful journey, shared with such lovely, delightful guests, has now come to an end. What remains are beautiful memories on both sides.
