And almost none of them will account for:

Your children’s ages.

The room setup you actually need.

Whether the beach is easily swimmable.

How long you are willing to sit in a transfer.

Your food allergies.

Which activities your family will actually use.

Or what “relaxing” means to you.

My favorite client text is:

“We’re having the best time.”

But that text usually starts long before they arrive.

It starts with choosing a room that comfortably fits everyone.

Knowing how long the airport transfer will actually take.

Making sure the resort’s dining works for the family.

Choosing activities they will genuinely use instead of paying for a long list of inclusions that sound impressive.

And double-checking the tiny details that can become very big details once they are away from home.

The vacation feels easy because the planning was intentional.

That is the whole goal.

Two resorts can have the same star rating, sit on the same island and look equally beautiful online… while offering two completely different vacations.

One may have the better beach but a much longer airport transfer.

One may have the room your family actually needs but very little for your kids to do.

One may be wonderful for couples and completely wrong for a family traveling with food allergies.

This is why I do not send my clients a giant list of pretty resorts and ask them to choose.

I look at the tradeoffs, the logistics and the details that will affect their actual experience. Then I recommend the option that makes the most sense for them.

Because the goal is not simply finding a beautiful resort.

It is choosing the right one.

There is something about September that feels like a fresh start.

New routines.

A different pace.

And honestly?

I think it’s a good time to ask ourselves:

What do I want the rest of this year to look like?

For me?

I want more memories.

More connection.

More experiences.

More intentional rest.

“It's all-inclusive!”

Okay...but what's actually included? 😂

Because two resorts can both call themselves all-inclusive and offer VERY different experiences.

Meals and drinks? Usually.

Airport transfers? Maybe.

Room service? Depends.

Kids club? Often.

Scuba diving? Depends BIG time.

Excursions? Usually extra.

My family is a great example of why this matters.

We care way more than the average family about allergy-friendly dining and included diving. Another family might care much more about an amazing kids club, water park, or premium drinks.

Neither is wrong.

But we're not going to see the same value in the same resort.

That's why the better question isn't:

“Which resort includes the most?”

It's:

“Which one includes more of what WE will actually use?”

The cheapest option is often the most expensive mistake.

I have seen:

Bad flights.
Terrible locations.
Construction.
Rooms that don’t fit.
Resorts that looked nothing like the pictures.

Cheap and value are not the same thing.

A beautiful resort is not enough. It has to be the right resort for you.

You should not have to land in paradise to discover that the “short transfer” is actually two hours, the beach is rarely swimmable, your room does not comfortably fit your family or your dietary needs were never properly addressed.

Those are the details I dig into before my clients ever pack a suitcase.

Because pretty pictures are not a travel plan, and your vacation should not come with avoidable surprises.
