We are located in Rio Nuevo Jamaica, in the parish of St Mary, just 10 minutes west of Jamaica's newest International Airport (IFIA) Iam Fleming International Airport, and 7 miles from Ocho Rios Jamaica. We are a private Villa set high on a cliff giving a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea eighty feet below. Here is some information to help organize and

make your visit more enjoyable. Airport Arrival:
You should plan to your arrival into the Montego Bay International Airport (MBJ). All passengers:
• to clear immigration - you need to know that you are staying at Zyani Boutique Resort/Villa in Rio Nuevo Resort, in the parish of St Mary 876-282-5238 cell

• claim luggage : (sidebar) You are allowed to bring in up to $500 in New merchandise. If you are caring New electronics make sure you claim them as your own personal items and have a receipt so you will not be charged duty.
• clear customs

Transfers:
After clearing customs leave the Main Terminal customs area and enter the Transportation hall. You may then proceed to the JUTA shuttle transportation desk. (Not the taxi desk). And book your round trip shuttle to the Villa. Approximately $35.00 one way, the driver will ask for a little more because he will be dropping you at the door of the villa and not one of the scheduled Hotels on his route approx $15. Or if you have requested a driver, proceed out the exit doors directly on your right to the taxi/van waiting area (outside). Your driver will be waiting for you in this area. He will have your name on a small sign. If you use porters the proper tip is $1.00us per bag. Our experience is that our van or car packages provide the easiest most convenient ground transportation for the villa bound traveler. Your driver will personally meet you at the Montego Bay Airport. No need to wait in lines for rental cars or the confusion of driving after a long flight. Your party will be comfortably transported, using a private, air conditioned van, directly to Zyani Boutique Resort. The drive will take about 1.5 hours and is a wonderful first introduction to the island of Jamaica. Villa Arrival:
Upon arrival you will be met by the lovely staff and given a proper tour through the property. You may select your rooms and relax before dinner, late arrivals only and at your request. The House Manager will order food for your first evening dinner and basic supplies for the week at your request. You will be given a bill that can be paid in cash (US dollars are acceptable) the next day. Dinner will be served by our staff possibly on a terrace overlooking the sea, or in a our indoor dining room. It's your choice!! Telephone:

I've Been Quiet... Because I've Been Building a Dream in Jamaica.
Many of you knew me as a chef in Atlanta. Today, I'm still a chef, but my kitchen has grown into something much bigger.
Over the past several years, I've poured my heart, creativity, and faith into building Zyani Boutique Resort, my luxury boutique villa nestled on the beautiful coastline of St. Mary, Jamaica.
This Human Field Guide is my way of introducing, or reintroducing, myself. It shares a little about who I am, what inspires me, and why I chose to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect, eat incredible food, experience authentic Jamaican hospitality, and leave with memories that last a lifetime.
I wasn't born in Jamaica. I was born in the United States, but Jamaica became my chosen home. This island captured my heart, and now I have the joy of sharing its beauty, culture, flavors, and peaceful spirit with guests from around the world.
Whether you're dreaming of a romantic escape, a girlfriends' getaway, a wellness retreat, a family vacation, a birthday celebration, or simply a few days to exhale, I'd be honored to welcome you to Zyani Boutique Resort.
