What did Rosa do today back on the ship?
I leaned into the joy of having nowhere to be.

Another sea day meant pool time 🏊‍♀️, endless ocean views 🌊, slow mornings ☀️, and discovering new corners of the ship ✨. I realized these days aren’t empty at all - they’re where the cruise truly comes alive.

As the day went on, I found myself wishing the trip could last just a little longer ✨. Ending the cruise here felt like the perfect finale, and it made me already start thinking about where I’d cruise next.

✨ Rosa’s First Cruise Day Ever ✨

Meet Rosa (well that’s her cruise name 😉)

Today was the day - my very first time boarding a cruise ship, and wow…stepping onto the Holland America Nieuw Statendam felt unreal. I was excited, a little nervous, and completely amazed all at once.

🚢 The boarding process:
I learned quickly that having your documents ready makes everything smoother. Once onboard, the crew guided us step by step, and before I knew it, I was officially on vacation mode. Pro tip: arrive relaxed and follow the signs - they really do make it easy.

🛏️ Finding my stateroom:
At first the ship felt HUGE, but the deck signs and friendly crew helped a lot. I learned to check the deck number first, then follow the arrows - like a mini adventure before even unpacking.

🔍 Exploring the stateroom:
Opening the door to my stateroom was such a moment. I explored every drawer, found hidden storage, learned how the lights and bathroom worked, and realized how smartly everything is designed even so many outlets! Small space, big comfort. I also learned what not to take from the stateroom or I will be charged.

First impressions? Cruising is already teaching me how to slow down, explore, and enjoy the journey - not just the destination. If this was only day one, I can’t wait to see what’s next 💙
